    A performance exhaust system is NOT something with merely a few pipes welded together to let the exhaust stream exit in any given manner. The overall tuned length and dimension is the key. Its specifically designed for a given engine keeping in mind, the cam timing, engine capacity, flow requirement, power peak, target power etc.
    So your stock exhaust with the restriction removed will only turn into a dalda dubba which no longer will perform.

          I would say keep the looks secondary,but the race concept exhaust looks and performs much better than the stock(my opinion),and i am writing this from his workshop.

            This is exactly what happened to my bike, mistakenly though. My bike started leaking those fibreglass "hairs" from the silencer automatically. And it has not been the same since then.

            Joel bro, can you suggest me what to EXCEPT going for a new Bajaj silencer (as I really need it to perform better)? I mean, will the high lift/ altered timing camshaft from P200/220/new 180 help me in this matter?

            • @Joel: Have you done a Crankshaft on a 220??
              If yes, what gains can one expect.. I personally do not like the rattling sound of the crank and think It should have been a little bit refined and worked upon..

                very true..power delivery of my bike has totally changed since i have installed your FFE...even at 9-9.5k rpms it feels like there is more power left and then u run into the rev limiter..all this happens so easily and quickly.

                yesterday only i had a small drag with stock CBR(rider+pillion) and me solo...people get excited when i rev a little hard and try to race..so just to check the changed characteristics of my bike i decided to have a small drag...

                i could keep up with CBR till 100 then backed out....don't want to start a controversy over here but thats what i experienced. No hard feeling to anyone

                  It's actually not a dumb question

                  ETCH or Etched is something thats stuck on a thing (in this case a exhaust) that doesnt get removed by normal means, can tolerate heat, etc etc.. Hope this clears it up.. Maybe I'm missing a letter in there..

                  • @Joel - you seem to be too fascinated modifying the CBR250, Good to see the changes you have implemented.
                    But I just want to know if the below Modification/Advancements are the only ones you have identified for the P220, cuz i want to go the whole hog with my bike modification.

                    1) Tuned Free Flow Exhaust,
                    2) 33mm CV racing carb - Please let us know the results if you have made any test runs with the same.
                    3) Cylinder head work

                    Any changes done to the piston as indicated in velociraptor13's post above. Any feedback on the same. Have you installed the Racing Valve springs on any of the machines?

                    Please let me know how much time it will take to have everything executed to perfection. I will surely be visiting your garage sometime mid next month

                    Too many question I know.. But that how eager i am to transform my bike to a really free revving bike.

                    • We just finished the build for our member velociraptor and the results were really mouth watering. It really felt like a mini CBR. A real threat to a stock CBR it feels like. We will test and revert on that.
                      So the following was done on the build.
                      230cc bigbore upgrade with our high comp silicon based race piston which weighs much lesser than the regular cast - stock piston kit, with special rings
                      33mm Mikuni CV semi flat carb
                      stage - 3 cylinder head mod
                      airfilter upgrade
                      tuned freeflow exhaust
                      K&N crank case breather vent filter

                      This is the same mod that we will offer for an all-out mod.
                      The camshaft will also come-by shortly and then we will supply the valve springs too.

                      The bigbore will be up in stock in the next 1-2 weeks. The carb and exhaust is in stock now.

                        BTW the K&N breather filter you mentioned,is it for good filtration or any additional performance gain expected through it?Please pardon my noob question.
