My duke is 3 months and 3500 kms old now.recently i was doing updown for 10 days consisting of 50 kms road(60% highway, 30% city and 10 % village roads.decided to keep a mileage log and i got 42kmpl WITH speeds always excess of 120 on highway.a member, on facebook has got about 48.his bike too was in post run in period.so its very likely for rohan to get that figure wherein his bike is under running in and his half journey was downhill.just because you are not able to get a good mileage doesnt mean anybody else cant get it, right?
i was riding with blokes riding enfields ..they ride it the calm way .. rode it at 70-80kmph all the time ..it was also a cool day with not so much wind so the bike's temp level stayed half way throughout ...riding it without pillion and i weigh 55kgs ... i was decelerating rather than braking most of the times ... i dont know why some people have problem with everything .. i have told before that they can either agree , disagree or ignore to any posts wisely ....dont know why they have to start bickering ....
i have a friend here whose duke is 4000+ kms old ,,, he always manages to get around 43kmpl only during city rides ... riding style will affect the bike and its performance in a massive way ...

even i have got 40kmpl during run-in mate..
but don't you feel that 58.2kmpl is a bit unrealistic..even if you ride it in splendor mode..??
        cheers..

        • Mileage is generally low during run-ins.........increases as the engine frees up.

                • Flame had a milage indicator??!!!!!!
Now, if Duke is giving that Awesome mileage, I'm sure NS too can, but if ridden properly.
Having said that the highest efficiency that i have seen on NS ownership thread is 46kmpl

Yeah bro flame has a milieage indicator...but its simply crap... In stock form it showed me 100- 130 kmpl and actual mileage was 55 max... And as i told you that later my bike was heavily modified with almost nothing stock with more than 150cc up from 125, aftermarket exhaust, k&n, carburator upgrade from rtr160 and a lot more, my bike's mileage became 35 under heavy ripping, 45, normal riding and 50-52kmpl on highway maintaing 60-65 max at 4th(top) gear..(checked on nh117 from joka to diamond harbour)..and still my console showed 130kmpl.... This is the height of tvs engineering...lol... The best part about the bike is it has the most accurate speedometer with almost 0% error...the speedo sensor is inside the engine casing and runs from inside the front sprocket....

Rohan, let's meet up next weekend for a ride. We will try to measure the FE of Duke and 200NS side by side. We will ride sanely and then we can put lot of doubts to rest! What say?

I can stand for Rohan200ns ( yeah yeah u read it correctly. My luck?) . May be something wrong(shall I call rite?) with nandi hill road.I also got around 60 kmpl (may be a little less) with pillion on nandi strech, downhill showed 73 finnally. tried 3 times with different riding style and it varied last time of full ripping .Dropped till 39kmpl.guess dat also ok for duke when riding at 120+ all time .
Note: FE varies with the cruise speed. 1 kmph speed means "X" FE again ride at 10kmph means You get "10 X" FE (as the fuelling stays almost same) but this difference goes up when You compare riding at 60 and 70 kmph, here Your speed stays almost same but fuel intake increases dramatically. So every bike/car has their sweet spot. For duke200 I think it is around 70-80 kmph. ride , increase speed gradually and shift as soon as possible and u got FE like platina.During Leh trip 1 duke got 98kmpl.Now what ??

even wind contributes a lot to FE .. it was showing 56kmpl on highway when i was sitting straight but it went up to 59kmpl when i crouched ...98kmpl omg

need lot of patience .. since duke and ns share same bore and stroke , i feel 70-80kmph is the sweet spot for maximum FE ..
we will eventually lose patience after the initial run-in ..

At last, U are getting all the support.
Me too think that since duke and ns share same bore and stroke, both will have similar FE levels(if ridden in similar conditions)
