When i went back to him to ask, that Bastard tried to dominate me, since i was the one driving a bike and wearing a so called Fancy helmet, and slapped me hard in infront of everyone even after knowing that he was at fault. I was so pissed off that i hit him with my helmet on his forehead so hard that his forehead started to bleed, in front his family members. I took the photograph of him and his car and gave it to the Police station nearby. Dont know what happened after that as i never got a call from the Police station.

          • You cannot give gurantee for anyone walking on the road or riding without any civil sense. here in mumbai people walk on road more than on footpath. Even if it is there. i have put a good pair of BOSCH horns so that i can clear my road. other thing is whenever i m overtaking or nearby a car or bike i always horn so as to let the other person know that someone is near to his vehicle.
I would say only one thing we have to remember when on road:
"EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED" anything can happen in India.

i dont know wat u did was right or wrong cause i have never been in that position of a person hitting me for no reason but u have all the rights to defend urself

acc. to law u can hit the person till he is on ground in self defence but after that if u hit him its a case against u

so i don't think what u did was against the law, u could have pressed charges against the person for being a threat to u on road at the instance and even when he slapped u when u asked for an explanation.

              • i cant blame u for hitting that guy...in such a moment getting slapped...thats pure reflexes.
but nxt time rather than using the helmet kick him or something...helmet on your head can save you but hitting others on the head can kill him!!

I had this in mind. I know what i did was totally wrong. But couldnt stop myself then. Instead i should have taken him to the hands of the Law. Lets learn from our own mistakes. Since then i have made sure i control my temper.

                  • ^^ You shouldn't have taken off your helmet. He wouldn't have slapped you then.

This reminds me of a similar situation. Once a cop caught me. I was with my friend at that time. My bike was on T/R registration(clocked 2k+ in a month) and the cop demanded money saying that I shouldn't be riding the bike without the permanent registration since it had crossed 2000 km. My friend tried to explain the cop that I ride a lot and hence the odo had crossed 2k. The cop didn't listen and slapped my friend. I was saved from the slap since I was wearing a helmet. Finally we had to pay him 100 bucks.

Moral of the story: Never remove your helmet while talking to cops(or anyone on the road). They will not have a chance of attacking on your head/face.
