This is so very common with Bikers ,Once one old man on bicycle coming from front and took turn without lookin anywhere and my bike smashed into him and everybody gathered there and started blaming me and some started saying after lookin at Karizma "Ohh yeh bike ye toh 60 se kam chalti hi nahi " "ye toh tez bike hai"
Crazy people , so brother be cool because we bikers don't have a clean reputation due to some nasty, rash ,helmetless bikers

Beware of people talking on their phones and walking on the road(Stupid of IDEA to make this sound cool).Hit one guy who just jumped across the road talking on his phone,he realized it was his fault and apologized.

A DL does not really give a person the 'license to ride/drive',it only gives you an Identity Proof/Address Proof/Clean Chit from cops when you are caught/Photo ID/Age Proof .Basically, people who can't ride well should just stick to Buses or Walk.If a person rides properly without breaking any of the rules,i see no need for that person to have a License(guess who licenses them>>>the RTO,like they are real sincere).

        Welcome to the REAL world..!

its a crime to wear gear.
its a crime to have a good bike.
its a crime to be young.
if you have more number of wheels it IS your fault.
if you are hurt the least it IS your fault.

agreed on license part i also think Parents should not support underage riding driving, but indian parent consider it more of utility. Regarding idea ad, i dont like it either cuz its irritation but they show notice below that do not use phone while walking on road and busy intersections.

I remember incident in koramangala near titan eye plus a lady saw bikes coming for sony world signal, guy in front of me on pulsar must be at 60+ speed, she stopped then suddenly gave indicator and took a turn to the left, bike rider braked and slipped got hurt badly me and 2-3 other bike riders helped him get off no one else bothered and believe me that lady saw this, went back to the car and brought her baby and started saying its not her fault!!! everybody told her that it was her fault but believe me it was hell of an issue!! my GF also got into argument with her, i have that guy first aid and went on, lady drivers should be busted especially aunties! i have seen some real good girl drivers, but aunties are hell, i was wondering what if the bike would have banged the pillion door where her baby was!!! stupid lady!

u wanna know why?? So this is what happened today-I am riding my bike at a speed of about 40-45kmph normal for our roads and mindin my own business. But suddenly an elder lady comes right in in front of me going wrong way on her kinetic

I dont know what to do cause she is just like 3-4 mts away from me so i slam the brakes, loose control and WHAM i go and get crashed in the old lady.

people come rushin pick us up and the vehicles and START BLAMING ME!!!

they said i was RASH DRIVING. Now guys wat was i supposed to do,these people think i am young and have speedy lookin bike SO THEY COME TO THE CONCLUSION OF ME BEING DRIVING LIKE CRAZY and that there is no fault of the lady who by the way was not wearin a helmet or gloves. it was me who was wearin the helmet and the gloves and what did people say I AM SHOWING OFF by wearin fancy lookin helmet and riding a fancy bike

i was like wtf is goin on here. I somehow managed not to loose control and apologised to the lady and came home entire way thinkin of whats up with people in India?
Sad to hear what happened to you.

I wanted to start a topic on these lines. But I was afraid that everybody would come out with their 'elders are to be respected' dialogue. If I go on about this stuff, an entire server maybe needed for my post

All I can say is post 40 yrs of age, two wheeler licensing should be rigoursly monitored. It should be issued only for two years at a time. The idea is to discourage the use of two-wheelers among the older lot.

Exceptions might exist but rules cannot be made for them, can we?

This kind of differential treatment already exist in some form. If you get your license made before 30(?) its valid for 20 years and if you make a license after you turn 30 the validity is 10yrs or something like that.

Along with slow moving contraptions on outermost lane (trucks, buses, autos) these old people I think are the biggest contributors for hypertension among young men and women The classic character is a 50+ fellow in an ancient Chetak or Kinetic with neck decidedly & firmly turned towards signboards He WILL NOT move no matter what

Oh, if anybody is planning to, save the lecture to yourself. When I turn 40, I will surley give up biking, infact much earlier than that. Biking in city conditions requires top class reflexes and there is nothing to get emotional about it if dont have, age notwithstanding.

For my part, I have numerous experiences with people, but most of them with pedestrians. They just dont care. Because you are on a machine that can stop and then move off without any effort from you, they expect you to stop.

I have had instances of ladies crossing the road at snail's pace even when they've seen me coming and I've honked the horn and flashed the twin headlights of my R15 for all they're worth.

All I do is speed up and narrowly miss them. 'Jaan ka dar', as people call it. That's what will set them right, because no matter how much you try to educate them, they will do the same thing at the next intersection. And I do make it a point to stop, gain attention and scold them even if they are elder than me.
I am LOVING this thread I do this too. I am glad to know there are people like me

And +million to your 'jaan ka dar' statement. How much of a difference it makes, I dont know, but I also do it in the same hope.

True, the logic is you have a machine so you stop. WTF should I care about your (pedestrian) safety when you are not bothered about it in the first place

Man, this thread is providing a release to my frustrations and I am ENJOYING it

              P.S: No sermons pleeeease.

I go back to B'lore once in few years and ... although each time the traffic sense seems so much worse ... I can't wait to jump on the RD350 and ride the good old streets.

I was there in April this year and it seems like all you can do is give more room for errors by others, however unnecessary it may seem, and be quick to react when you sense something odd.

But at the end of the day, riding in des is a lot of fun in its own way ... something that bikers elsewhere in the world, will never experience in their lifetime ... and believe me ... are awed by!

aunties and all females are the most dangerous out there
                    agree to everyone
the worst thing is no one cares to take simple measures like use indicators
i once saw a guy blinking right indicator and turning left on a busy road
i thought its one rare sample of a guy
but i do see such people around .......
they know only how to rotate the throttle .... here people even rip XCD and Splendors

                    as svjhonda said
only thing we can do it accept it whenever it comes
                    we cant really help it
and with increasing population in mind .. this problem has only started
Hope is a good thing ,
may be the best of things and
no good thing ever dies .

Get busy living or get busy dying .

i was going on my bike at around 60kmph in the right lane . two ladies were crossing the road . i honk , they stop BUT as soon as i reach near them they start running . i grab on to my tank with my legs and keep the bike as stable as possible . they hit my bike from the right side and probably fell down . i dont look back and just ride away .

In short , people are A****les . NO traffic sense ! they are as ignorant as a bear in hibernation ! iv had instances in which house maid's are crossing the road and when they see my vehicle coming , they simply look AWAY ! .
they just want to get hit by motorists and get injured so that they can get some money out of you .

Well the same thing happend to me the only difference was that it was a car thank god i walked away safe, travelling on a two wheeler may be convinient but has also negligable saftey riding gear can do very less to save you if u are run over by a 2 ton automobile. I canstill remember a motorist run over by a car lying on the middile of the road on nh4 with no 1 even stopping by. A 4 wheeler is now becoming a neccisity due to the lack of road sense and strict rules which remain un enforced.

Yup the only thing to avoid these type of incidences is to have a LOUD blaring horn like the Pulsars. And if u c sum foolish people on the road just use the horn as long as u want or until that person hears it. Atleast it wil prevent this type of things happening in the first place..

Its as if even if your brakes are not pwerful but your horn should be in a good condition. Keep HONKING!
