I wish Joel did P180 UG3. But the damn bike is just an overheater. I got a K&N in myself and got slightly better midrange with god knows what demerits (in the long run).
But couldn't get a freeflow yet.
Anyways, let's leave the mods for my next bike.

@ Joel: Hi Joel, Can you make FF-exhausts for multicylinder bikes like Gt650R, Ninja 650, etc.? Given that someone drops the bike at your place for 5 days or so? Just wanted to know for some future reference.---

^we can take up special projects, but my prime focus is on racing and racing based developments for street and not much of one-off projects. we are a development facility and not some workshop to take-up all kinda works.
Only the engines that I personally take-up based on racing, will have commercial parts development. The P220 and FZ are the only exceptions, as they are pure street engines(not raced anywhere) but have a good base.
The R15, RTR and karizma are purely based on racing developments. And hence have higher target performance and options.
So pls stop this p180/150 discussions. The p220 is the only decent bajaj engine.sigpic

^ I see. Thanks for clarifying the facts about your firm's focus on racing.Originally posted by Joel View Post^we can take up special projects, but my prime focus is on racing and racing based developments for street and not much of one-off projects. we are a development facility and not some workshop to take-up all kinda works.

Ok, I won't discuss P150/180 mod anymore. But Believe me, I was not accusing you of anything in my post.
In the 1st year itself, I understood that the bike does have its own share of problems & lackings. I was just "wishing" something could happen to it, before my next purchase. Hope you understand.
I might shift to Bangalore by Q3-Q4 this year. I hope we meet sometime in future, (with a better bike though). Good luck with MotoGP bro.

Is there any significant change in vibrations after this mod?I mean had the intensity of vibrations lessened in that particular rpm 4.5k-5.5k?Originally posted by Goldew View Postwell wat can i say abot ur work man? ya totally rock, ma RTR 160 with bigbore kit and head tuning totally rocks.. i feel sme 3bhp increase frm the stock.. waiting for the 2nd stage with 29mm carb and free flow exaust... jus cant wait to get tos mods done..

yeah the vibrations ve come down but still thr are sme light vibration.. hope to get rid of it in ma 2nd stage( larger carb, free flow exaust and K&N filter) thrs a clean burn of fuel and the combustion ratio is awesome.. the bike beating oly has changed a bit.. totally satisfied wit the mod...Originally posted by Drifty View PostIs there any significant change in vibrations after this mod?I mean had the intensity of vibrations lessened in that particular rpm 4.5k-5.5k?

Got the free flow for my pulsar 200. And I must say I am most impressed. The thrill of wringing the throttle is back. Definitely recommended.
Haven't got a chance to push the bike yet, but the improvement is apparent form the get go.
The low speed ridability has improved, feels like there is more torque to move you along. Whack open the throttle and the rpm rises much faster than usual. Feels like someone unlocked some hidden potential in the bike. There is a kick that wan't there before.
I have ridden a few modified pulsars before. The claimed fastest was a 180 with a 200 bore. The power delivery etc, was not linear and the bike seems to have gained power only in a certain RPM range. With just this exhaust the power delivery is way more effective. Should get Joel to work on the head now
. I will update with more details about the performance once I get to push the bike hard enough. A track day should be on the cards.
The bike is loud now ( a good kind of loud). A db killer for my daily commute should be on the cards I guess. Till then I'll keep an extra 100 in my wallet for the cops, just in case. Keeping the RPM below 4k should not attract attention from the cops, but the way the bike revs now, that will be difficult to do.
One criticism would be the exhaust came in the way of the break pedal. No biggie though. Bending the pedal a small bit fixed that problem.
The only down side.. my dog is scared sh*tless the moment I start up the bike.
Thanks Joel.

EDIT: Did you, by chance, compare the weight of the stock exhaust to the new one?Last edited by tanay; 04-09-2011, 08:12 PM.200 | 300 | 1200 BOXER
