P220 lens is a single beam ie; low beam, plonk an ONB H7. For High beam u need to get the high beam reflector or any other good aux lamp as high beam.

Reason I suggested P220 lens bcz u were smitten by the ONB bug

Rewinding is always good even if u r going for DC conversion or not as the higher watt bulb needs more current to drive at its optimum performance. If u r going for DC setup, coil rewind is a must as the b2b city drive can end up with dead battery, being with a 55W halogen it will make it worse.

Avy coil will do but I dont like its perfomance in switching between beams as there will be a lag in lighting up in full brightness. So go for coil rewind.

Ur OE socket is a H4 so it cant be utilized, first u decide which projector and then go for the suitable bulb and socket.
LOL m very confuesd... Why the hell u dont live in bombay
Ok i'll tel u. I need a projector for my pul200 but it should be twin beam.
now u tell me wat and all thing 'll have to do . pls

Do u've a 30Ltr micro wave with convection? Put the dome inside on a thin ply wood sheet, select convection mode like we used to bake the cake, choose the temp 200C and bake it for 3 mins, take out with a cloth glove, check for the sealant is soft if it soft then start prying it from one side, if not heat it for another few minutes.

Dismantle every metal parts from the assy before putting into the oven else it may damage the oven and black spots too.

What about a heat gun? Go to Ronni Electronics and ask for it, its there for 500-600/ range or order it from Ebay.

Know someone in bakery field? Ask him to keep this dome over a wooden sheet in the oven for 3-4 mins
      and do the rest.

Dont forget to keep the dome on a ply or a wooden sheet else u can see another shape of the dome once u take it out.

Once u finished do not seal it back, try a beam projection on the road and level it if its required mostly it needs. Its a time consuming job so be patient while fiddling with this.

      • ranjith have you bought that projector assembly for 4500 ? does fz have space to mount that huge ballast shown and a angel eye starter .

imo try renting a heat gun as it works better while using oven you have no idea how much the sealant has softened and also the front glass can get damaged if its heated too much .

@ veeral - i think you should first convert bike to full dc using ape rr method . then proceed further .

yep i know how to use to oven to separate but er...i don't have one! ..let me see what i can do

          @Puneet
no..i will mostly buy it today
and the ballast is petty much the same size as others i have seen..so it should fit!

Dont worry there r others who can help.

Since u dont want to use a HID, then no need to go for the DC conversion. Coil rewinding is more than enough, but at the same time there wont be much bixen projectors available which can accomodate a H7

So first u decide whether u want to use a projector or in the stock dome. If the stock dome is ok for u then do the coil rewinding only and use ur old ONB.

If u still need a projector then u need to convert it to full DC after rewinding the coils.

U can ask Puneet for the projector cost.

Hey Puneet, how much will be for ur HID canons? I'll do some marketing for u.

there should be two sets of wires coming from the ballast.... one will be attached to the bulb and the other set should be connected to the headlight switch i.e. the three pin socket connected to the halogen bulb.... the ballast can be fitted inside the tank panel on the left hand side.. there is a bolt under the tank which can be removed easily and the clamp or the bracket of the ballast can be fitted there...

those wires should go into the headlight socket... the red one in the low beam or the high beam pin and the black one to the ground pin... (as it is a different configuration than mine I would suggest you to get it confirmed from you dealer)

the 3 pin socket is for the power and the red is either for the High or Low...so how does this work with a bi xenon?

                                dude.
that 2 ends marked by you go to the battery directly.
red to battery's +ve and black to battery's -ve.

the 3 pin socket goes to headlight socket.
                                it should look like this.

                                besides.

when you plug the 3 pin socket to the oem bulb socket, you high beam and low beam will work.

there should another 5 pin socket for a relay.

all you have to do is, plug this entire wiring thing to the battery and that 3 pin socket and you need to fit ballast on the output (connector is given).

ballast will have connecting sockets for the bulb.

try it hands on, you'll realize its a simple thing.

                                @ all

do some googling and see some youtube videos first to clear out basics of very simple things..

fitting a bulb is a very easy job, i believe.
