    • the problem i am facing now is whenever i switch on the HID bulb directly goes on high beam. High beam light on console shows it. and it doesnt changes to low beam. behaves weirdly . Switch problem ??? or wat ? sometimes it starts as normal on low beam & pass also works fine. but as soon as i turn i tohigh beam with the high/lo button. it stucks there. doesnt come back to lo beam. button doesnt work after tht.

Check how the blue and white connectors we discussed are connected to the H4 socket. Try rearranging them... in mine, I've connected them to the two other than the one with black wire... you can remove the connectors to the HID (which lights them up) and test the switching and pass....

Will check with the HALO bulb if still it behaves in the same manner then switch might be at fault.

DAY BY DAY i am facing new problems

Today i started my bike. As i switched the hid onn there was a blink and console lights and HId went off for some 30 sec. again hid blinked for 3 times, It was like on and blew off.. then console got reset then HID and console lights started..
After this scenario hid was working fine... on off was good. console was stable.. but still the high beam prob was there...
And again after 30min i started the bike same scene HELP

???? any one experienced this ? experts pls comment ...

its the hids heavy power draw at powerup... I had this problem initially... now vanished... make sure your battery is charged properly... or start the bike and only switch on HID...

Veeral, sorry to ask, err.. I forgot the specs... Did u rewind the coil or still on the stock coils with floating coils to APE RR? Flickering bcz of the batt drain at the time of initialization like Lijo said. What about the charging rates? Is it above 4A @ idle? Whats the condition of the battery/how old is it?

In High beam mode seems to be getting stuck inside or somewhere else it should act as normal. Consult with Navnish for more details.

Sajit the coil on his bike is rewound to 12feet per pole and with the ends of the windings connected directly to the ape RR[ floating ground] so charging is not at all an issue. The charging current is close to 8A
Veeral It is your BCU that is acting up..It is a big pain in the A$$.

Try swapping the RH switches with ones from another pulsar. If the problem still persists then its the BCU that is going crazy.

Pavan, if BCU is poking then it should not work at any point of time right? I think UG3 electricals are not that sensitive to the BCU as being the lighting is on AC. Dr Vivek is using the same setup and he's not having any issues like this.

Veeral, can u post the idle speed charging rates? Or r u facing this issue even above 3K rpm?

                    Drji???????? Where r u ??????????

saj, i myself have installed ape rr on veeral's bike, and charging is better than good.
its standard, 4 amps at 3.5k rpm without load.
with load its again the same, bike gives +ve reading above 2000 rpm itself...

                      so charging is fine.
                      i assure you that...

besides, the bcu can be checked by my auto electrician, I've asked veeral to go to him this morning, i don't know if he has....

can there be an issue with the wiring harness provided with the bulb ??
it just has a box kinda thing, it difficult to understand, there is a magnet inside the bulb's base too which does the thing of high and low beam flick !

damm bajaj, why do they need BCU's and stuff ?

if nothing works, even installing the wires to the headlamp WITHOUT the bcu is a pain...

if in case BCU is fine, what then ??
Giving a lot to a fiero.
Expecting a lot from a fiero.

                      • If the BCU is fine then the RH switches have a problem. The LH switches were changed when I bypassed the BCU on his bike.

@Sajit: The BCU has its own idiotic way of working. It works sometimes. Sometimes it doesn't. The BCU on my bike acts weird sometimes. But it works fine the next moment. At times a simple ignition off and then ON works wonders!

NANO i tried ut methiod too . started the bike allowed bike batt. to get settled. but still when i onn the HID, It flickers and goes off along with the console. and stats again in 30sec. on high beam only...
