About the 'Rubber part near front scoop', my bike doesnot have any of them. Can you post some pictures of it. and How did you got rid of that "Bike behaving at low speeds like there is no petrol in it."
Oye top plastic part of left scoop was touching petrol tank...and rubber holder from inside left flap (inside which you can see battery resides) had fallen

And yes SC has really taken care of low speed high gear struggling for petrol without tweaking fuel n air mixture ratio screw ( because I already marked its initial position he he)
There must be something in bike like hidden knob or screw that we don't know about for example how they reduced engine sound just like that

    1.Thanks
2.I serviced at Akurdi Gems bajaj (020-66111911) make sure you leave your bike by 9.30 am or they may not accept it because of high rush
    dipak - pbk
    mahesh - SCguy
    don't remember - insuranwala
    are really nice guys..
In this SC/Showroom they really listen to you and always gives at least 15 min tips on how to take care of the bike
make sure you lube the chain before or you will may hurt dipak's feelings
there are almost total 75 guys working in there I think It faces most rush in whole pune
P.S. I dont take guaranty of any thing...servicing is like rolling dice ...and make sure that your service wala write down all problem you are facing..provided you are going to tell him those problem

Seriously my long post really bothering any one? or I'm doing fine ?
lets wait to create some hype for my next Claymax - sequel post where I will be writing how I have achieved the best top speed in this whole thread (not kidding) I mean it I have read every page on this thread before making such statement

    • Akurdi.. well. it's really far from my place..

the service center sounds tooo good.. 75 mechanics.. wow!!!
you are lucky to be living nearby..

we have no options but to see bajaj mechanics screwing our lovely bikes.. some time we take it to some other service centers for the same thing.. but screwing up is common

suggest them to open a branch in Aundh/ baner somewhere

akurdi is just ~10 - 12 kms from aundh or baner.

What makes the bike not to struggle for petrol at low speed high gear and reduction in engine sound ?
If any one knows the secret please share its a worth of lot of discussing

As bike was giving me excellent millage I thought that air + fuel mixture ratio is tuned for optimal and I was afraid that it would might get changed at second serving so I marked the position of that tuning screw using marker...If in case they messed the my ideal ratio I could revert that screw back using mark I made

You will have to wait till 2000kms for oil to show its true colours.

                        • I've a query about my bike.Experience guys pls help.

since last few days it returned me around 28kmpl so i went to the bajaj showroom to retune the carb.He did it,i've not checked the mileage yet,but now it feels like when i ride it,the engine noise is quite A BIT reduced and at lower rpms of 2-3k it feels like there's no petrol in the tank.IS IT HARMFULL to the engine in the long run? Should i retune the carb?done 2.7k kms on the odo.

@abhi : I think carb tuning does seem to affect engine sound noise and struggling for petrol thing

Yes, for sure. I will have to sort out all the problems now. One after another, they keep on arising, should do something about it.
