  • Guys, the analog speedo is quite erratic post 100kmph, please don't conclude the indicated speed as true top speed....I think Xtreme can do true 110, Uni 113 achiever 108 Hunk 110... BTW I reached 125 kmph for the first time last saturday (indicated)

    • ^^ i don't think the error would be more than +/- 2-3 kmph or is it more ?
guys..if you ever need blood or want to donate blood, please refer to this site :

      • analog speedo have lots of error...not that digital ones are accurate but they are marginally better....ZMR is said to have the most accurate speedo of all Indian bikes courtesy BI...

today i crossed 120 kmph on the airport road (shamshabad airport-near hyderabad) .. it struggled to reach 120 from 110 .. but the thing was i couldn't feel any vibrations .. bike was steady ..no wobbling whatsoever.

Only change in the bike is the synthetic oil . Petronas Sprinta 10w40

i guess it could've gone till 125 had i pressed hard.
I did 110 (indicated) yesterday, rpm 8K. but I almost fell off the bike. The jacket I was wearing (an Allen Solly corporate/casual jacket) was channeling the air in a weird way and the bike was wobbling like hell. Will try the same run with my normal riding jacket as well to eliminate the reason as bike/jacket.
Oil is the good old HH 10W30.

Analogs are generally said to have error of +/- 10% at speeds higher than 80.

              • I have recently sold my Kawasaki Bajaj Caliber(2001) and taken all new Hunk - Black. My Black panther has completed 1500K.m, but still I am missing my Red Caliber a lot which I am using from 2001.
After the first service @450K.m, the SC guy used Honda 10W30 oil. But @950km, I changed it to Gulf Pride 4t 10w30 API SL & JASO MA2 and I felt "its sooo smooth". I don't think it'll be any warranty issue because I am using 10w30 API SL Oil. Any suggestions?????
I also fitted NGK G-Power Spark plug, because Iridium plugs are not available here in Kolkata(as the dealer said). I am also using Indian Oil Xtra Premium.
                Move on.........

Hello mate... I too I'm using new Hunk(Ebony Grey) have done 1100km... but I'm facing a strange problem with vibrations between 5500-6500rpm its not huge but it creaps slowly... for now its less but I fear in fuure it may increase... Do You face any such vibration problem...
Are you finding any difference in performance after using NGK G-Power... What was the cost of G-Power and gulf pride...

Hi Noel, the vibration @ 5500-6500 rpm is not strange at least when you have completed only 1100kmb and after 3000km it would be smooooth - as the mechanic at HH SC told me. Coz I faced the same problem @4500 rpm. But it is always recomended not to cross 6500 rpm(on continuous basis for more than 5km) before at least 2000kms..
Yah. the rpm has become very stable and precise. Gulf is providing good smoothness. But yesterday I have changed the oil to Castrol Power 1 10W30.......... lets see.

Good to hear from you dude… I’m from Barrack pore. Not so far away from you. I will feel good if we can make a long trip together. However, after from the puja festival my friends and me are planning to go for a bike trip to Digha, especially me, coz I love adventure trips. But yet we’re unable to make it done. Due to my job its very difficult for me to manage time these days. We planned it on Dec but it cancelled. And now we are planning to make it done in Jan. Trips on bike is best during winter season. So if you can manage then I must invite you with us. We are not so many just four cool dudes aged between 25 to 30 years. And I’m having holidays also on Satday and Sunday.

Lolz.. We are also aged bellow 28. Your profile is showing 30 years so why I told you. Somewhere where nobody visited before ? Ok then lets make a plan for a Mars trip on Hunk . Hows that? I know that it require some little mode in my bike but I will manage. A liquid-fueled rocket would be fine. Yeah got your mail.
