bro, let me tel you one thing, the engine is same for Unicorn and HH Hunk. Though, The Uni engine is new one and HH Hunk engine is of old Uni. But the HH Hunk engine comes with little changes like 'Tumble flow' and tweak for better mileage.Originally posted by REVZ RACING View Postguys...hunk owners...pls answer to my query...i gotta tak a decision btwn hunk & unicorn...need to know the average of the bike
If you are concerned about looks and style, can go for HH Hunk (like me), or if you are concerned about overall quality, go for Unicorn.
Please look for the nearest service centre- Honda or HH. But over all Honda Unicorn is the best 150cc segment.
Now its upto you bro.Move on.........

Technically the only difference is in the ignition timing which makes the cbz-xtrme / hunk engine ek our 1.4 ps more than the uni's.
Ignition timing + camshaft with different valve opening / closing profile timings are the only major difference between the uni and cbz-x / hunk.
The side effect is that the hunk / cbz engine seems a bit harsher than the smooth uni engine.
I've learnt a lot about this engine since due to a lack of spare parts here, most of the stuff in my cbz-x are Honda's spare parts
from sprockets, piston, rings etc etc
A man's testosterone level is directly proportional to bhp that he's using on his motorcycle.

bro--the power difference between uni and cbzx/hunk is 0.9ps,and the engine of hero honda's feels quite significantly more punchier and torquier than uni's and its not only that I am saying this but also the autocar india, overdrive etc,but there's a side effect that its not as smooth and refined as that of unicorn's but many experts say its purpose built this way to inject some hooliganism!!

If you want style, more power then go for Hunk, CBZ-X.Originally posted by REVZ RACING View Postguys...hunk owners...pls answer to my query...i gotta tak a decision btwn hunk & unicorn...need to know the average of the bike
If you want Quality and more mileage (both marginally better than HH) go for Unicorn.
Hunk and CBZ-x have a slightly sporty(leaning) posture.
Unicorn has a good riding posture.
Test drive both and see which is more comfortable for you.
Check out the waiting period for Unicorn and Honda's service in your area.
Mileage of Unicorn will be 3-5 Kms more than the HH cousins.Quit tabulating grudges. Let it off. Discuss it, then trash it, don't recycle it.

hello frnz, its my 7 month old cbz xtreme, covered 3300kms so far.A very pleasant and thoroughly enjoyable Xperience. The bike got a gr8 engine, truly awesome pickup, top clas refinement and above par mileage as well.A great comapnion I must say, till now faced no problems Xcept an erratically working horn.
The brakes are crisp and even after 3300kms feel as good as b4r--no sighns of fade, though that may be cause of my gentle riding.I hit a max speed of 110km/h,felt that had atleast another 10 but had to back of(mind you these were speedo indicated figures).Acceleration from 5.5k to 8.5k rpms is simply amazing. The bike's straight line stability is also very good though the ride is on the stiff side but not to the point of being uncomfortable.
I rate my Xperience 9.5/10
--I am lovin IT!!

I dont think you will find TRUE synthetic oil in 10W 30 gradeOriginally posted by on wheels View PostPlease suggest me the brand of 10W30 Fully Synthetic oil for my HH Hunk. Anybody is using for HH Xtrean/Hunk Engine? In Oil Thread I have not got the answer.
.If you want fully synthetic oil then look no further than Motul 300V 10W 40 costs around Rs 895 if thats too much then you can give semi synth of the same grade from motul a go

I’ve been using Castrol power 1 10w30 its performing very good far far better than the stock HH oil. Currently the oil running aprox 2k km, still its good. It’s a synthetic blend, not semi-synthetic however.
But I want to know about the Gulf Pride 4T+ 10w30 how is it? I heard its good but didn’t tried yet, is it better than Castrol power 1? any idea?
Fully synthetic oil performs best but its too much costly and however company also doesn’t recommended it. But there have a Fully synthetic oil Petronas its cost around 300rs.Speed is a joy but roads are not race track. Keep speed in your limit and always Drive safe...

Soumen is back!!!!
back to the point.
I am a very happy user of Gulf pride4T 10W30, its very smooth while revving and gear change.
In case of Castrol Power 10W30 (your favorite oil
) , the engine becomes rough. But pickup..... awsome
......
But Gulf Pride 10W30 is very hard to find. Now looking for fully synthetic oil in 10W30 grade. If not available I'll go for 10W40 or 5W40. Motul is available in Kolkata?????? Kolkata guys please let me know........If Soumen is unable to find Gulf Pride 10W30, I can arrange for him........

Hey dude! How you doing? How is your bike now? Still are you feeling the noise?
How many km you have done yet in Castrol Power 1? I’ve been using it for over 1500km last oil, still its performing not bad. But me too noticing a lil roughness. Thinking to shift to Gulf Pride 4T as I love Gulf. But hard from some other users that gulf oil is good but it loose its viscosity after 1200km, means the engine loose its smoothness after that. Just like the Stock HH oil. But I heard Castrol P1 perform well till to 2k km.
More over the specification castrol has given or use to say like “exceeds the requirements of JASO-Ma2 standards.” This line means they’ve tested the oil by them self. It’s a tricks. So I’m in doubt abt that.
Also castrol releases its Activ xtra 10w30. Don’t know much about it.
Basically while shifting from Stock oil I was determine to get Gulf but unfortunately it wasn’t available there so I had to choose castrol, but now I can get it here.
And about the Synthetic oil, I must refer you to stick to the mineral oil and better to change the oil at every 1500km. This will keep the engine clean, its good for the engine life. Synthetic oils made for super bikes but still worldwide super bikers love mineral oils coz there have many reasons. However synthetic oils have longer draining period ( 7500-10000 kms ) and its keep the engine smoothness even after 5000-7000 km but Synthetic oil build a thin layer of black sludge like material on the parts and its not good for long term. So the engine require to flush if you want to shift back from synthetic to mineral in future. And also there have wet clutch issues. However, these oils specifically made for bikes but the claver thing is to stay away. Another thing is if you put mineral oil the oil change its color even after 200km and get darker very soon but synthetic oil remain the same color even after thousands km. That means the mineral oil started collecting the engine sludge immediately and because the synthetic oil reduce the friction much more so rather than collecting the sludge it create a thin layer upon the parts. Basically in our bikes engine oil works as a coolant agent and heat management system, more than a lubricant, its keep cool the clutch plate cool but still it don’t lubricate it. Also company don’t recommend it.Last edited by soumen.sam; 01-11-2010, 06:43 PM.Speed is a joy but roads are not race track. Keep speed in your limit and always Drive safe...

Trouble:
My extreme is not running well. although the rpm increases as expected, with throttle, the speed does not coincide with the rpm. Its like something is choking the bike, holding it back. Also with some riding, the bike jumps back to life, as it normally was. But there is no constant time for that. Its like, fuel shoots in and speed increases, as it normally should. The rest of the time, it chokes.
Also having trouble starting it up early morning. Use choke for 1 minute. Doesnt start up without the choke.
I had a hunch that the carb is dirty, so got it cleaned. Bike went well for a day and then back to the same old problem.
My analysis says that the tank has rust in it. What do you say?" I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not" - Kurt Cobain
