+1^^^Originally posted by vipin_s View Posthmmm,....personally I don't like such modification, you need spend a lot for same functionality of the dash, think again, classic dash is neat as well ? Check out total cost (fitting+dash+etc) and then decide...
Also there are many complaints about improper reading of fuel meter,Speedometer not working etc.As vipin_s said, check the total cost and decide.

Just back from a short 10 km ride. Since the suction pipe was not in place, it sounded so good
and i was in a slight rip mode.
. shifts above 6k and speed around 75.
When i stopped, there was a kinda burning smell from the engine. Is this normal..? Or is it because i ripped..?

the smell is due to the HH engine oil.Originally posted by sooraj_vs View PostJust back from a short 10 km ride. Since the suction pipe was not in place, it sounded so good

Nope buddy, the spares availability of hero honda is truely pathetic. I have been waiting for 2 months for my set of front fairing to arrive. Everytime, i get the same response. I.e, agli baar aa jayega. Finally i shot mail to local representative and still no action. as a last resort, i put a mail to zonal marketing nead and within 4 days, the parts arrived..Originally posted by sooraj_vs View Postthats an unnecessary fear i would say..
But the parts have not been installed as yet cos of my stupidity of skipping the headlight which is expected to take the next 5 days... Lol
talk about pathetoc service and hero honda tops it off...Suffering from Parked Motorcycle Syndrome

As far as my experience goes, the fuel gauge, although analogue, is far from accurate. Shows full when half and empty when half.Originally posted by varundl View PostHmmm yea thats right! And one more thing - I think you will need to replace sensors too. Atleast for speed and RPM. I may be wrong. Do confirm it.MOTORCYCLING IS AS MUCH ART AS IT IS SCIENCE

+1^ You are right, Karizma's sensor cost's 3000rs. Karizma's whole speedo will cost you nearly 10k,I think it will be less that that for a hunk..Originally posted by sooraj_vs View PostAs far as my experience goes, the fuel gauge, although analogue, is far from accurate. Really..? Hows that possible..? I mean, is it due to the oil getting over-heated or something..?
Its nothing to worry about. Some minerals or something get burn off to keep the engine temp in control that's one of the reason why you should top up regularly.
I'm using power 1 i'm not getting any such smell.First think you are special then work towards proving it.
