    Can the rear shock absorbers of the new CBZ extreme be fitted to the old cbz extreme 2007 model ?

    The ride quality has become terrible thanks to the terrible suspension. Planning to get the shocks absorbers checked.

      Can the rear shock absorbers of the new CBZ extreme be fitted to the old cbz extreme 2007 model ?

        Cant say,Spring shocks are always better than GRS when coming to maintenance.

        The ride quality has become terrible thanks to the terrible suspension. The ride has become way too hard . What are the ways to improve the suspension ?
        Get it refurbished from suspension refurbishing guys.

            Hi friends.my extreme completed 1000kms.i will do 3rd oil change before 1200km.what is the safe max speed i can drive henceforth without harming the engine at any cost.till now i've driven within 40 to 48kmph range.guys please share your speed limits within which you have driven your bike with respect to kms covered.

              limit shold be upto 60-70 Kmph @ < 7000 RPM. Vary the speed smoothly and keep varying the RPM in between. Dont ride for a constant RPM for long.

                  As he had already completed 1000kms correctly,Now he can take it up to 100kmph,Vary the speed between 50-100km/h and will completely open the engine.

                      Thanks 100rabh I'l maintain 50 to 60kmph upto 1800km ,then change oil and will go for 60-70 range.thats fine na.? Whats your present odo n what is the speed you are maintaining now?

                            No buddy..it isnt too early. After the first 1K, its totally safe to take ur bike to tripple digit speeds once in a while. IMO, u need to do that to really open up the engine. But,
                            do it gently, smooth and nice accln
                            dont make it a daily business.

                            my bike has done 5.2 K now. As per the manual, 3rd service is btwn 5-5.5k. The problem is, i ll get time to do it only next weekend. (22nd). By that time, odo will be reading well over 6K. My doubt is, will these stupid SVC guys deny the 'free' service coz am not on time..? I ve changed the oil @ 4K, so running a bit long isnt an issue..

                              Thanks mate.generally i won't drive fast.my fav speed is 50 to 70kmph even in my old cbz classic.btw is it safe to take my bike for long journey,say 600kms in two days @60 to 70 cruising speed?

                              I would suggest you to follow as mentioned in service manual.svc people dont mind tearing 3rd and 4th sheets of your service manual together,so that they can escape 1 service.get it done before crossing 5.5 k deadline.

                                my odo @ 2400 Km, max speed 82Kmph.normal city riding speed <50.
                                doesnt mean k u have to follow the same. But mostly you can assume Run-in period to be around 1500-2000 Kms. u can very well go for 70-80 . Its ur personal choice,just be careful how ur ride behaves on/after these speed.
