See example below - all of them are T10 LEDs and can fir the standard holders, but their spread of illumination will be different.
The "right" type of LEDs

The "wrong" type of LED, avoid these

Will 4 smd led be enough.. or shall I go for 8???

8smd will definitely provide slightly better illumination than the 4smd ones. Go for 8smd onesOriginally posted by Rakesh.M View PostWill 4 smd led be enough.. or shall I go for 8???

Its easy to get yaar...to make things easier, save a pic of the 8smd on your phone...and when you go to any shop, show the pic of the leds to the shop owner so that he can know what exactly you're looking for.Originally posted by Naveen1985 View Postyou means its not easy to find a 8 SMD set...????

Re: Yamaha Gladiator(All)
Any small-time mechanic can do it free of cost bro. You need to get a good grip of the preload adjuster with an adjustable wrench and twist it towards a bigger groove for more preload (less softness) or twist it towards a smaller groove for less preload (softer suspension)Biking is not about how many Km/h you put on your Speedo. Re: Yamaha Gladiator(All)
Changed engine oil 2nd time to Semi Synthetic (SS ) [ SHELL ADVANCE AX 7 10W 40 ] . Planning to upgrade to Full Synthetic ( FS) next time when doing oil change. Just wanted my bike to get used to SS performance slightly so that when i change it to FS i wont throw any drawbacks.
I suggest other Glady owners also to try SHELL ADVANCE AX 7 10W 40 it costs Rs 320/- ( comes printed with Rs 341/- on the bottle but the dealer gives it for 320/- , and its a navy blue color bottle ) . Am sure you will experience an improvement in acceleration and the engine feels smooth and even the gear shits become butter smooth and to ur surprise exhaust gets little strong giving out some punching sound when revved hard between 6-8 rpm
.............
Do let me know if any one tried it out

10W40 oil is not recommended for SS125/Gladiator. The manual recommends 20W40 and that is what we should be using. Using a different grade oil can affect the longevity of the engine as the viscosity of the 10W40 oil is not what the engine is designed for.
I'd recommend switching back to 20W40.Signals which are timed for 50 Kmph are also timed for 100 Kmph :)

Re: Yamaha Gladiator(All)
My bike has done 15k now
My speedo cable is cut
. Can anybody please tell me where I can get it changed near Alwarpet/Teynampet, Chennai?
Also: I have taken finance from Shriram Finance. Do I have to renew my Insurance or will Shriam Finance be renewing it after 1 year?
Thank you.Last edited by lywyre; 06-05-2013, 01:15 PM.

Re: Yamaha Gladiator(All)
My Gladiator has completed 35000 Kms and I feel that the rear shocks have gone bad. I intend to replace them but the they are out of stock. I wanted to know whther the Gas shock absorbers be a direct fit on the gladiator? has any body tried this? If so then which brand and specifications?
Or will the rear shocks of the Yamaha SZ fit on the Gladiator? Please advise.

Re: Yamaha Gladiator(All)
I had fitted Pulsar's gas shocks on my bike and they were a direct fit, but not very comfortable. You can opt for the Discover's SNS (twin spring) shocks or the SZRs stock ones.

Re: Yamaha Gladiator(All)
Thanks bbsrailfan!! I have been trying to source either the Stock Gladiator ones or the Stock SZR ones. Both of them are unavailable in Chennai. I tried three Yamaha spare parts stores. But none have either of them in stock. They are expecting the SZR shock absorbers stock this week. I'll most probably go with the SZR's shock absorbers.Originally posted by bbsrailfan View PostI had fitted Pulsar's gas shocks on my bike and they were a direct fit, but not very comfortable.
