Is that a DLX version? And you have put Graffiti stickers and alloys on it?
My bike's handlebars are different than yours. Weird.......
Yes I have the deluxe version, but I opted for the alloy wheels with the purchase. The side fairings are different. From some other model of the Glady.I had a small fall and broke the right side fairings, then I saw this and felt it looked good..so got both sides new fairings fixed...
How is the handle bar different???Can you give details and some pics so that it can be compared..

I maybe wrong about the handlebars.Cant really make out in the pic. Does it have bolts where it curves down to the grip handle?Originally posted by DASCO View PostYes I have the deluxe version, but I opted for the alloy wheels with the purchase. Parked my bike on centre stand, so that the rear wheel is turning free. Started the motor, shifted to 1st gear. Then disengaged the clutch (clutch lever fully pressed.) & whoa
, the rear wheel is still keeps turning. Is this normal behaviour ?
Which now means to me that, do not stay on 1st gear , with the clutch fully disengaged, waiting at the signals. Shift to Neutral.Kaveriappa

K&n for gladiator... !!!!!
Decreased acceleration was just intial observation I think everything is fine now rather it is better as the bike has a air cooled engine semi synthetic makes more sense.Originally posted by novice_biker View PostI am using castrol power 1 after using yamalube for more than a year.
following changes i have observed.
1. engine is way too smooth than before and starts with out hassle.
2. i think pick up is affected a bit and i think it accelerates slowly
3. mileage has improved
4. and sound of the bike at Rpm above 7000 has changed and it is more like the bikes with modified silencers..
I was clueless should i switch back to original yamalube. or i should continue with castrol power1 money is not the constraint. I feel castrol p1 is a better choice as to smoothness of engine i have got i love. But still I fear of damage to the engine.
Thanks
Prashant.
I want to ask If some one know any better oil than Castrol p1 for glady one of my friend uses motul . I want to know is there a complete synthetic oil for glady that would be better as when bike heats up its performance is affected ( as the viscosity of the oil changes with temperature and synthetic oils have more tolerance towards such viscosity shift and provide better performance).
Second thing i am soon going to try K & n filter on glady but unsure if it fits into gladiator.. has any one already tried it. If so was there any difficulty with it

Why don't you try going one step up and try the Castrol Power 1 racing fully synth... I have heard its giving good results... Although i have not tried it myself yet... If you can get your hands on Petronas Sprinta then that would also be good...Originally posted by novice_biker View PostDecreased acceleration was just intial observation I think everything is fine now rather it is better as the bike has a air cooled engine semi synthetic makes more sense.

As for the K&N, it will surely fit... With some adjustments... Might include removing the air filter box... Dont forget to upjet... And be really careful while putting in a K&N, get it done by a trusted and knowledgable mech...

Well when you put in the K&N... usually the filter takes in more air than the stock filter would so there would be more air in the air/fuel ratio and thus the bike would run lean which is not good... So a way out of this is to get bigger main jet so that there is more fuel going to the carb too... This way a proper ratio of fuel and air can be achieved... This process is time consuming as it will require many trial and error runs... So be prepared...
