Re: Yamaha Gladiator(All)
why would the fuse blow off for a lower load? LEDs have lower consumption compared to traditional bulbs.

Re: Yamaha Gladiator(All)
AFAIK the Gladiator uses regular bulbs for illumination but the SZ-R uses board-mounted LEDs. Need to check with my bro, not really sure.Originally posted by Naveen1985 View PostMay be its 1.5x in your case as gladiator speedo glow is ok but sz-r's speedo glow is poor. so i guess it will be minimum 3x in case of sz-r. default color of my speedo is red with white base and tachometer color is pale white with black base...I think blue will look good on speedometer and pure white on tachometer...
Edit: just checked with my bro - SZ-R uses the same T10 bulbs as used by the Gladiator.
Think about it - They are using the same bulbs, so if LEDs can achieve a 1.5x gain in the Gladi, the results will be same in case of SZR too.Last edited by bbsrailfan; 04-24-2013, 05:16 PM.

After removing the headlamp fairing, you will need to remove a couple of nuts securing the lower cover of the speedo console assembly. Once you oven the lower cover, you can pull out the bulb holder and replace the bulbs.
Not recommended to do it all by yourself, especially if you have no prior experience in opening the headlamp Assy.
Brightness increases about 1.5x, not too much of a drastic change. The biggest plus is the cool look. You can try Red/Blue LEDs to match the color of your bike...they will look way cooler!

Re: Yamaha Gladiator(All)
Nope...it was still on stock electricals. In any case, LEDs are more efficient than bulbs.Originally posted by Sandeep Patnala View PostOh wow.. So u have converted ur bike to FULL DC !!

LOL, the new Blue has more of black and less of blue compared to the older Blue scheme.
I am not too sure if I like the new Red...looks too gawdy now.
