    Nightwing,
the article says holes on the brake to reduce weight, is it for weight reduction or better heat dissipation. If im not wrong think i have seen this bike(in the article) in Pacer motors

Do you mean after 'tuning' your FE dropped or increased?

              @all,
so the same question even from me, any good mechanic for the gladiator in bangalore, till date all my services was done at pacer motors, they were good but now due to the number of vehicle they get for servicing the quality of work seems to have come down....

Missing a bit of acceleration i used to have in the beginning should have to get that checked, been to a long drive some 7 months back no complaints at all gladi was lovely on the highway just loved it

                Mostly for better heat dissipation.

Hmmm....have you tried clicking on it because the picture is a thumbnail that links to a bigger size image. It's almost the size of a widescreen wallpaper.
That is the only page.Other pages are about a heavily modified ZMA and Apache.

Even I feel that the service centre has to scale up according to the sale of bikes. Last time the servicing took more than 4 days...

She has clocked more then 20000 KM and still giving a impressive mileage of 60+ (i drive in highway + city comb, (75+KM/day))...

a FUN bike to drive ... i do take her on weekend drives frequently....

After spending so much time with her, i describe her as the one whom 'not anybody can own"

                          • Bought a new Black & Red Gladiator SS last week after reading all the reviews in different threads, specially this one... Clocked 176 kms till date... First few observations are : Rs. 53,875/- on road in Jharkhand + extra : seat cover (very cheap looking), Black crash guard (plain jane), saree guard foot rest (ok) & RB-22 ergo Helmet (good)... Cold starting is a bit problematic... It you put choke, it will not start on kick... it starts fine on the self though, but cant do that in the run in period... handling is top notch, but tyres are scary on rubble / wet, it fish tails easily... i got dunlop zebra y plus 2.75 front & 3.00 rear... is this the stock tyre... i saw mrf zappers on other SS bikes in the showroom... which are better? the disc brake is making a faint "chee chee" sound when rolling silently with engine off... how can i put this off? a strange metallic sound is comming from the front shocks when i apply the disc brake and the bike ducks forward (engine off)... there is no sound without the brakes... what may be the problem? the engine & gearbox is a little rough till now... may be it will become silky smooth after the run in period... torque is very very less... the bike struggles to pull uphill with a pillion... also i cannot rev-up now more than 4000+... also it requires a lot of gear change to keep it within the power band... so much for now, will keep updating...

                            • sorry, forgot some more observations : headlight beam & the horn is quite weak compared to other new bikes... but the bike looks really cool... u'll get lot of compliments... i also hide the fact that this is quite an old model from yamaha, people easily believe that yamaha has just launched this model...

Yes..the gears become soo good that you end up playing around with it...

                                torque is very very less...

Yes..its very less...it is one high revving engine..you have to rev it high..

the bike struggles to pull uphill with a pillion... also i cannot rev-up now more than 4000+...

better not to do it...control for now...open up slowly...

also it requires a lot of gear change to keep it within the power band...

                                Exactly...thats how she behaves..

and I thought the SS had stock MRF tyres...please confirm from the dealer and I think you have all the rights to demand the stock tyres from the dealer..or did you get it changed???

Hey congrats on getting probably the only serious 125CC bikers bike in India. Enjoy the ride.
