      ya ,
dude i also feels that fazer looks good, it is that yamaha has given a new look to fz but no matter engine is the same , me too jealous with new fazer.

the only thing in fazer is that its headlight is not naked.

I don't think mileage has to do anything with the kind or make of the spark plug you use. Its just that the better (like Iridium plug) spark plug gives you a quick response in terms of starting the bike and nothing else. BTW, FZ has a far better stock spark plug then any other bike. Spark plugs IMO helps only in better and quick cold starts...

What color is it mate?? Black or brown?? If it's brownish then ur sparks are perfectly ok and healthy. If black needs tuning!

Get it checked from the Yamaha SVC guys if your bike has not run for long. May be a problem from their side...

Else you can very well get it replaced by BOSCHE plug.

                  • FZ Battery Drain

                    Hi,
Been having a strange issue with my bike(Dec'08) for the past couple of weeks. My battery went dead one fine day(this was after an accident service) and gave it to Pacer Motors,B'lore for a recharge. Was all well and good until yesterday when it went dead again!!Push started it,rode for about 20 mins to the office and then it was fine but then in the evening it went dead again.
From last night the started doesn't work, although the horn, headlights, indicators don't seem to have a problem.
                    Any thoughts/pointers??

My thought is there is a problem with the starter motor/ignition coil.

                      • Hi I have a problem with my rear tyre...
it has got punctured from 6-7 diff places and few of them after good working have started to leak air very slowly.
i did what is mentioned as stem puncure repair.
now the only thing i can do is fill air weekly.
if i can seal these it should defenitely be better, can anyone tell me where i can get it checked in mumbai coz nobody in nasik can fix it.
Kingdom FAR FAR away is where I wanna be...
But I can't find a road headed that way.

                              I have completed 7500 km
                              5 services on time
                              I bought my fz 16 on 11 dec 2008
When my bike was brand new I got a mileage of 45kmpl constantly,
Now I get an average of 35kmpl with xtra premium indianoil , speed of about 50-55km/h
And about 41 with speed petrol . Speed about 45-50km/h
Some times I got about 45 or 46 kmpl though my riding conditions were same
I checked it by by using my reserve valve and trip metre

                              • Hey guys.. checking this thread after a long while.. Congrats to all the new buyers, take good care of your machines.

@ayushkant: did u finally get the rim stripes and teflon coating? I had my bike teflon coated by the svc guys, cost me 506 bux (450 + tax at Gurunanak Auto Lounge, Kasarwadi, Pune) during 1st service. The shine is still there after the 3rd service.
I am thinking of getting rim stripes myself (red for my red fuzzy). So if u hav them already, could u tell me whr u got it? I asked the svc guys abt the rim stripes in the accessories shop. He said fz-s get them prefitted and they don't keep spare ones. Asked me to check in Nanapeth. Need inputs from u if u got smth done... thanks in advance.

The high average could be coz of the riding style since we have to ride it like sane ppl. Don't be surprised if it drops drastically. According to experienced ppl, Yamaha bikes show this characteristic.. if it is pushed, the mileage drops.

I had visited the MRF showroom in Chinchwad area. He said it wud cost 2500 for fixing up the rear tyre.

As I mentioned, I got the bike back after the 3rd servicing today. They did a great job. the engine feels so smooooth, and they loosened up the clutch a bit too.. feels like brand new, like the day i drove it out of the showroom! Haven't pushed her hard yet, but will do so soon.
