  • 3 things Guys

    1) I reported the problem of handle lock screw being loose and coming off. Actually i searched for many shops but no 1 cud file a proper 'L key with a slot' which is to be used to tighten the bolt. however castrol workshop guys had a simple solution, they replaced the over complicatedly designed nut with a normal one and tighten it.
Now can any 1 explain me, why the hell did yamaha used design for the screw which can only be tightened by YSC? and this is just one that we discovered, i am sure there will be many other similiar parts.
The only thing that i understand out of this is that Yamaha is making sure that customers keep on visiting the service stations and service stations can continuously keep on making money.

If this is the case, i must admit, i am dissaponted.

    2) This may sound funny to many of the xbhpian (infact it sounds strange to me as well), but i have not only noticed, but experimented with conviction that if u fill small quantity of fuel, u will invariably get better average. I ve tried this 2wice. I got fuel average as 45 and 44 with 100 rs (2 lts) fuel to reserve whereas i get 40-41 with full tank.

    Can any one explain why?

    3) I ve observed that rear tyre is making a ltl more noise than before, specially when roads are not the smoothest (although they are not bumpy but its kind f road which doesnt have any shine and appears to be very rough). Just want to know if this is normal? Just few days back i switced to 30-35 psi combination for front and rear tyre. Can extra pressure be the cause? I am very sure that noise level which the tyre makes has increased,

This was an observation from one more user in this very thread. He suggested an explanation too.Look it up.Dont remember who said it or what reasons did he give.

A bike running on reserve always gives more mileage and less pick up compared to a bike running on full tank.

When there is lower fuel, fuel pressure to the carb is lower, hence lesser amount of fuel is dispersed through the jets to the engine.

        • My rear tyre's two punctures

          FIRST PUNCTURE

          1.

          SECOND PUNCTURE
          2.

do these puncture cause air leakage,
because when the second puncture was done i found the air pressure decreased from 33 to 26 in 6-8hrs
but after wards when i filled the air again to" 33 " in the rear tyre
          it came to normal condition,
does these tubeless puncture cause some problem to the tyre ,
both of my punctures shown in the above pic are caused by nail i just got it done from a local tyrewala
do we have to remove tubeless puncture in yamaha authorised or any where .

But i always make sure that i have atleat 2lts more than reserve. I never drive on reserve. Its just to have a notice that 2 lts petrol has been consumed.

Y so confusion folks? Its just a simple anser - Normal stem puncture is just a temporary method of fixing a puncture. In case its been fixed in a foolprrof manner, be happy and keep on riding..if not, go for a mushroom puncture repair which is a permanent method...

i was suppose to say it is the first time you are riding FZ
it will take some time to know your fz

when i took the test ride i also felt the shifting of the gear is a problem but i got to know later on how to shift it.

did you tried moving your bike ahead or backwards , when the bike is off and when you are trying to put the 1st gear,

when the bike is off , please try putting the gear while moving the bike means (push and pull to and fro for a small distance)

if the problem exist please go to yamaha service station and get your bike checked

yup did the same and now its fine.. my bad. also there was a toolkit beneath the seat (was covered with the seat cover threads).
After using the Bajaj Discover for so long, I find the seats and the ride position much comfortable, it might be due to the velvet seat cover, but its comfortable for me.

Posted some pics of the monster!! Cant help to Flaunt It!!!

                              do some oiling ,
                              near the gear shift paddle
                              see if any improvements,

use oil which you use for lubricating chain (gear oil) check your user manual for specifications .

hope the conditions will improve .

i feel that after washing the gears become hard .

lubricate the chain along with it ,
