Should I make any other changes along with the exhaust? I'm not particularly interested in engine modification, which is why I'm not going for the big bore kit.
What changes in performance can I expect? Thank you.
You can surely just get the ffe, u'll need to rejet the carb since the resulting fuel air mixture will lean out due to the ffe.
A well designe ffe will result in better performance throughout, though there'll be a small trade off with the torque in the lower range.

I plan to do a proper run in first! First 500KMs will be run at 50kmph max. Or should the run in be 750?
I will post pics tom or day after, after getting bike home. My friend is getting it home, he will help me with mastering bike also
I Hope to take it on a proper 200KM ride after a month. Will keep you guys posted
Suggestion: Dont use ur speed as the limiting factor during run-in. Use your engine RPM.
The manual says you should avoid operating your ride above 4.5k RPM continuously for the first 500KMs and 6k RPM for the next 500KMs.

So if the bike reaches 60kmph at 4.5k RPM, then its fine. Many riders would even suggest you to take it higher than that. Dont worry nothing will happen to your engine. Its actually good for the health of your engine.
Run-in is abt conditioning the engine and making its parts wear off properly and settle down to the correct tolerances, which doesn't necessarily mean riding as slow as possible. In fact thats bad for the engine. Sometimes you have to let it loose.
So occasionally (not frequently, maybe 2-3 times a week) take your bike upto 6k RPM till 500KM. After that go up to 6k RPM frequently. And you should be doing this in every gear. This creates varying loads on the engine and gearbox thus letting them settle down properly to their correct tolerances. This varying load happens automatically when you ride in city traffic. But if you mainly ride on highways then remember to vary your throttle over all gears.

Keep checking your engine oil periodically especially during run-in. If you find that the oil has impurities (it definitely will) change it. Dont wait till service at the SVC.

About long rides, preferably go for them after you have clocked about 300KM in city traffic. And make sure you give ur bike a 5 min rest stop after every 1hr of riding.

And above all, enjoy your ride!! You'll be amazed how well she treats you if you treat her well

      Cheers!!

I just need a lot of practise in city traffic, as I have never ridden in it. I am sure I am gonna love this bike.. Will keep you all posted about it

          a quick query,
i had my FZ joelled months back and had dual horns running on the stock battery.
a day back, had dual angels with HID placed but seems now the start up lights get delayed and horns arnt working well.

do i have to get the battery upgraded?
or is there some issue with the relay?

Guys, what are the recommendations for Wax Polish? Its a DIY for me.

Also, can the same polish be used on all the plastic parts ?

            Cheerz!!
The real beauty lies in throttle's twist!!

Headlight can be replaced, Head cannot be. Wear a helmet.

How much of a difference did the dual horns make?
Do they affect the mileage in anyway?
I'm curious as I want to install dual horns as my friends tell me that since they put dual horns on their rides they have increased mileage.

Easiest and cost effective solution = Waxpol, else you can use, Turtle Wax or Formula 1 Wax, whch needs more rubbing effort than Waxpol, but is of superior quality. All the three can be used in the plastic parts as well as metal parts.

Dual horn doesn't increase any mileage, all it does is to make you more audiable in traffic. All the current models of FZ series now comes with dual horns (including mine) and it doesn't affect any mileage.

My Fz has Roots horns. Very useful on Highways.
btw, what do the Horns have to do with the Bike's mileage?
                      Sounds weird.

Don't they affect the battery with the headlight on..? Does the sound get weaker anytime..?

Dual horns just make louder sound, have nothing to do with the milage or anything else..

                          Ride safe and have fun.

As I can recall so far, Waxpol is the brand as well as the product name. As for the other names, just ask for Formula1 or Turtle Wax, in any automobile shop. Waxpol is very liquid and thin, thus easy to apply or wipe off and it comes in a bottle with Red and White combo. Turtle Wax comes in a rather thick form, even it's easy to apply, but after it gets dry, wiping it off is some task, but the after effect is just awsome (even old surface turns to new), it comes in a bottle with Green and White combo or complete Green. The same goes for Formula1, but it's more of a cream type, and the effort and after effect is as same as Turtle Wax and comes in a Yellow bottle, but be sure to check the authentication, since there are duplicate Formula1 Wax now available in the market.

My Bike handle bar (or steering) is making a sound ( tak-tak, or expanding, contracting sound),its not frequent though, while I brake hard at low speeds, is it normal? and I think this is somehow related to the wobble I am facing. Any insights?

and before the 2nd service my bike used to be under stress in 40-50 range in 4th gear, after the service ,it's easily doing a 60-70 range in 4th gear (no vibrations or odd sounds) and the bike sounds and feels amazing when I shift to 5th gear at that point.

Should I continue doing that in most cases? or avoid and shift to the 5th early?

How does it effect the mileage?

                              Thanks

Put the bike on main stand and turn the steering left-right. If you hear any sound, try to notice from where the sound is coming. AFAIK, the nosie should be from disk brake. Why brake hard at low speeds?

This bike just grunts when you twist the throttle and thats how we love it. Dont over stress the engine for long period @ 60-70 speed in 4th gear. The sooner you reach the top gear, the bike will love to rev more freely.
