Hmmm, I was expecting 30+ under any riding conditions. But looks like that was a bit over expecting.
the economy should increase after some number in the odo i suppose,it s a brand new engine combination,let it roll for a bit and it should increase a bit.





Even my bike behaves the same during idling. The increased revs while start up are to quickly get the engine upto operating temps.
some mpfi cars are show the exact same nature while a first or cold start,depending upon engine temp it will rev it self and then it will settle.the best thing will be after the bike is running for 10-20 kms ,then check the rpm and see if there any fluctuation .

The gear shifter was a big pain in the A**. Hence got it resolved just the other day after taking it to the service center. It is actualy was a one second job, if possible get it done through vihaan honda.
shifter position is very imp and since you are riding a toe shifter bike only its really pain,i have been through the same situation with couple of r 15s and a comet.

In the words of the manual abt the break-in,"Help assure your vehicle's future reliability and performance by paying extra attention to how you ride during the first 500kms

During this period, avoid full-throttle starts and rapid acceleration"

also add some sane breaking,avoid sudden breaking etc.


No man the CBR doesnt have the side stand switch, it was one of the first things i tried after taking delivery.

What rpm does your bike idle? And is it constant? My bike is idling at around 17-1800rpm and sometimes it drops to 1500.. Also i feel the gear

One fact its a weird and negligible one but still a fact, CBR250R is 3rd bike in India to have "Bybre" Disc brake installed.

First one is Pulser220, the second one is Yamaha SZ-R (Yes! It has Bybre as front disc ) and Third one is Honda CBR250R!

Found this accessory on an international forum which would be useful for the tourers. Its the rear rack. Will be good if these things are available in India too.

Oh no man, thats gonna scratch the grab rails. Nop, not an option for me. It can be placed if they have some rubber/sealant type material at the joint where they hold on to the grab rails...

My cousin coming from thailand is getting it for me. She is on her way and I guess I'll get the bilnkers before the delivery of my bike .

Getting them through a cousin. The rear cowl looks super sool on a the black CBR. I wanted a seat cowl right from the day I booked my cbr. Need to get a source who can get/ship one to india.

Asked my dealer about the accessories coming to india for cbr 250r and he said they come along with the bike from the factory itself, I was like

Then later on he added saying, side stand, horn, saree guard all come with the bike, you dont have to buy anything

LMAO!!!


And the loose pipe I guess is the air pipe or something. I saw a couple of pipes hanging on all the bikes. I asked the sales guy and he said its the air pipe. Even activa has a similar pipe which keeps hanging all the time.

Does anybody know how much would a seat cowl cost on an average? Appx price? I checked on ebay and it says " 7000 bucks " + shipping charges to USA. No shipping to india.

I have personally view the CBR...and it awesome...quality wise i do not found any issues...

Even I dint find any quality issue in the bike.. Don't know how come others are able to find quality issues in an International bike..

And about the other issues like oil leak etc, those are the issues faced by any manufacturer after they launch a new product..

I have test ridden the C-ABS version CBR and believe me, the brakes are really good.. (Though I was able to rev till 60kmph only )

The only drawback I felt is the too soft front suspension..
