It is absolutely normal in all EFI bike's( even in R15) as there is no choke . its like what we do manually in Carb bike here its all automatic and controlled by ECU .Originally posted by MeTaL_MaNiaC View PostThanks a lot everyone!!
I have taken a few snaps in daylight.. But damn!! My internet isnt working.. (now on cellphone)
What rpm does your bike idle? And is it constant? My bike is idling at around 17-1800rpm and sometimes it drops to 1500.. Also i feel the gear
Bike shud idle on 1500RPM ( as mine is idling @ same RPM) after few secs on high RPM's...!Its not enough to know how to twist the throttle; you must have judgement to know when and where to do it.

Congrats everyone! Happy touring!
the BYBRE brakes are our very own KBX.the same ones used in the other bikes.Originally posted by lsp2310 View PostOne fact its a weird and negligible one but still a fact, CBR250R is 3rd bike in India to have "Bybre" Disc brake installed.
First one is Pulser220, the second one is Yamaha SZ-R (Yes! It has Bybre as front disc
) and Third one is Honda CBR250R!
they are badged BYBRE.Smoke rubber, not tobacco.

Found this accessory on an international forum which would be useful for the tourers. Its the rear rack. Will be good if these things are available in India too.

Oh no man, thats gonna scratch the grab rails. Nop, not an option for me. It can be placed if they have some rubber/sealant type material at the joint where they hold on to the grab rails...Originally posted by sudeepnbr View PostFound this accessory on an international forum which would be useful for the tourers. Yes, totally agree. Need some rubber in between. Else the grab rails will get scratches.Originally posted by ajaymanohar View PostOh no man, thats gonna scratch the grab rails. The loose pipe is for water to drain out from the petrol tank area thus preventing water to enter the fuel tank.

They are not yet available in india. I guess they'll be available some time soon. I couldm't wait tillthen so getting them now itself.
Yup, Thats a custom job. Search for " 2011 cbr250r modified by k speed " and you'll get full details on what all mods were done on it.
Getting them through a cousin. The rear cowl looks super sool on a the black CBR. I wanted a seat cowl right from the day I booked my cbr. Need to get a source who can get/ship one to india.
Asked my dealer about the accessories coming to india for cbr 250r and he said they come along with the bike from the factory itself, I was like
Then later on he added saying, side stand, horn, saree guard all come with the bike, you dont have to buy anything
LMAO!!!
And the loose pipe I guess is the air pipe or something. I saw a couple of pipes hanging on all the bikes. I asked the sales guy and he said its the air pipe. Even activa has a similar pipe which keeps hanging all the time.
Does anybody know how much would a seat cowl cost on an average? Appx price? I checked on ebay and it says " 7000 bucks " + shipping charges to USA. No shipping to india.Ride To Live

Friends,
Read the Ownership Reviews for the First time from all members.
Generally it seems that it has not lived up to real expectations.
Have they gone wrong in the PRICING & QUALITY Department?
The euphoria that surrounded before the Launch has fizzled out.
Any reason guys?34567 kms and ZMR sold :(

Even I dint find any quality issue in the bike.. Don't know how come others are able to find quality issues in an International bike..Originally posted by veryhiphop View PostI don't think so...whats your exception from CBR250?

And about the other issues like oil leak etc, those are the issues faced by any manufacturer after they launch a new product..
I have test ridden the C-ABS version CBR and believe me, the brakes are really good.. (Though I was able to rev till 60kmph only
)
The only drawback I felt is the too soft front suspension..One & Only,

Two days with the CBR & mmmm loviiiiiing it!!!
Guys, dont search for any reviews.. Just go for it.. If you want a new bike.. And those who are satisfied with their old ones and wish to upgrade.. Just have a test ride or maybe two..
I am not able to say all that i feel and have experienced in the two day-200km journey of the Cbr because of my failed internet connection..
so just an update from celphone
today i just went to the showroom and i must just praise my luck.. I met a person who was there on a black cbr.. I thought it must be the owner and just went ahead to start a conversation.. But he actually was a Honda cbr technician.. So i said i have a few problems.. And he very politely cleared all of them.. My bike knocked a bit and i needed to shift two gears down at a time on every sharp turn or speedbreaker.. i was also not able to set the time on it.. :P
so he took a ride and found that the clutch setting was incorrect.. Also helped me with all my queries.. And now the bike is even more fun to ride..
@stig: whats the period for 1st service and kms..? I am planning to do it arnd 300-400kms if its possible..
Also.. where did you get that tank pad man!! i wanna get that one..Last edited by MeTaL_MaNiaC; 05-12-2011, 12:26 AM.You gotta risk it.. to get da biscuit !!!

Thanks for the pictures. what's your take on the C-ABS?Originally posted by The Stig View Post
+1. I rode a C-ABS and reached 86 kmph with the sales guy as pillion who was weighing twice of what I weigh :P. At 86 I told him I'll test the abs by braking hard and he said the bike is all yours sir. I braked hard and I felt as if the brakes were not working but surprisingly the bike came to a halt within no time without skidding.(I rode my p220 before taking the test ride) It was scary but I'm sure ill get used to it.Originally posted by crazy_NJ View PostEven I dint find any quality issue in the bike.. The C-ABS thing really works.
@ metal maniac : Congos on getting the bike. How's the headlight ? usable? or just like most of the bikes which shoot light on the trees instead of the road?Last edited by thefastestindian; 05-11-2011, 10:47 PM.M800 - 2001 - 5787.Nano 2011 - 5086.Figo 2011 - 518.P220 - 2010 - 5995.CBR 250R - 2011 - 250.sigpic

^^ the headlight does shoot on trees.. But this time, also on road.. :P
i feel its very decent for city and adequate on highways.. Even the low beam covers a very long distance from the bike and is bright too.. Will post the beam pics as and when i can..You gotta risk it.. to get da biscuit !!!
