What is the grade of oil to be used?? The oil level is a bit less in my bike.. Is there a reason for it? I am replacing the oil as soon as i know the grade of the oil from you or stig.. So should i replace with entire 1400ml??.. I dont think i can replace the oil filter as its difficult to find one so soon..
I will say take a chill pill and i dont understand why r you changin oil how many kms u've clocked till now?( use it least for 500-600kms) Grade is 20w40 i think and even i thought that Oil level is low in my bike but then SVC ppl chkd it and Level was Ok. Please chk oil level in cold condition bike should be straight .
Its not enough to know how to twist the throttle; you must have judgement to know when and where to do it.

yesterday i and my mechanic checked it holding the bike straight and it seemed less.. But then he told me to check today morning before start and it seems fine.. The level is ok..
Hmmmn.. So the oil is regular 20w40.. Thats good..
My bike has clocked around 250kms.. I have heard of very fine metal peices getting in oil the first few kilometers due to friction and gelling of engine parts..and thus it was said that oil change at 100miles helps these get out of the engine quicker then you waiting for 1000kms and those particles causing damage..to engine.. It was also said that the drained oil seems clear.. But take it in a clear vessel and observe in sunlight and you see those particles in the oil..

Now i dont know how true is it,. But 1.5L of oil for my 1.6lakhs bike isnt much.. So thought of trying it.. Also i would be leaving for nasik in two days on the CBR and would returm after a month and the 1st service would only be after that.. Which would be more than 1000kms by that time.. i cant expect servicing in nasik as it has not even got a display bike i guess..
You gotta risk it.. to get da biscuit !!!

As we use chokes at cold starts, FI will set high RPM when you start the bike when its cold and settle at the idle RPM when it's warmed up. So normally everyone used to start bikes and wait for 2 mins (depends) for the RPM to idle, when we start the bike for the first time on a day.

Different bikes could have different idle RPM and it can be adjusted, as you have mentioned.

It's a Black C-ABS. I'm using normal petrol from a trust worthy fuel station and its running fine. I noticed the engine to be heating more than my 220. Even the tank gets heatedup. I heard it's normal as the bike is still new and it'll settle down after some 50 kms. (A cbr owner told me this.)

What fuel are you running it on?

and just tell me one thing, have you changed the relay or added extra wiring on the wagan r while fitting this premium bulb or you replaced your old bulbs oem maruti with phillips?
oem maruti bulbs are not that top notch.

                          • One more question : Can the brake and gear levers be tilted downwards by some 20-30 degrees? I prefer that position to the current position.

gear leaver can be done thats 100percent sure.most of the break leavers also can be done in other bikes.so i think cb250 will not be exception.

Oh! I did not know that karizma comes with 35W bulb. Thanks for letting me know.

I have replaced the 35w bulb w/ philips 55/60 bulb initially. Later I shifted to Osram silverstar with not much difference, and then I shifted to Osram Nightbreaker and I found it to be bright and good. This is my experience.

In Wagon-R, I have initially directly replaced the stock bulb with Osram and found that to be very much brighter than the stock bulb. Later I used roots relay and wiring and shifted to 90W bulb, which is much better.

And, Osram nightbreakers have only slight blue coating and that too a part of the bulb and it doesn't hamper or reduce the intensity of the light; they emit only white light. Blue coated bulbs that emit cool blue light are different.

BTW, Thanks for the link, and I will go through it sometime later when I get sometime.
