Any tips from experts before applying collinite for best results?

      • @bhs - No one does lacquering these days for sure, esp the manufacturers & that too on plastics. Heard clearcoat? That's what they do, which is quite easier to carry out & takes less time.

Masked the black fiber/plastic joins (Very important when applying Tech wax)
Can you help understand ^^^ pls?

303 Aerospace/Meg Ultimate Protectant on all the black fiber/plastic area
What is this? Is this a paint or wax sealant?

        Applied Tire gel
What is this? I apply tire polish (like Son of Gun) that involves just one step. The resultant is needless to say amazing. On any non rainy weather & dusty condition, the tire stands amazing for about a week. Even after a week a gentle wipe is all that is required (not even a wash)

Tip - Apply Collinite 845 on the RVM's & guess what? It shines well, attracts less dust & acts as excellent water repellant during rains (but don't use it on headlamps, does more of damage during rains)

Any tips from experts before applying collinite for best results?
        1. Clean the surface well (very very very important)
        2. Shake the bottle well (atleast 2-3 minutes) & apply the wax generously on the surface
        3. Wait for about 15-20 mts until the wax turns to white in color
        4. Use MF & only good quality MF to scrub the surface for shine from the wax
        5. If possible repeat steps 2 to 4 once again for a thick layer of wax for longer protection

i have ordered collinite 845 from...
If possible share the price in public or PM. Did you also get a MF cloth free along?

                  • Hi fellow CBR owner's, I'm writing after almost a month, Just got my bike's 1st service done @ 1033kms. Got a service bill of 592/- including oil change, filter change and consumables.Which i feel is reasonable for such a bike. but i must say it is a pain to clean when it gets dirty. Hope all who have got deliveries of their bike are enjoying it and riding safely and my fellow bikers awaiting your bikes, i really hope Honda ramps up production asap shouldnt keep you'll waiting so long.

                              1. Wash and Dry (Used only Optimum No rinse No wash as it was not much dirty)
                              2. Tried using Swirlx on couple of scratches created by the Pujari who did the puja to my bike, could not remove it. I believe its because of the lacquering on the paint(No sure, just assuming).
                              3. Tested Meg Tech wax and Collinite (As most of the parts in CBR is fiber less of metal)
                              4. Masked the black fiber/plastic joins (Very important when applying Tech wax)
                              5. Applied 303 Aerospace/Meg Ultimate Protectant on all the black fiber/plastic area
                              6. Treated the bike with Meg tech Wax and then after 4 hrs with Collinite. Generally we need to wait atleast 12 hrs after Tech wax but due to cloudy weather, decided to do it after 4 hrs.
                              7. Applied Tire gel.

And guess what, evening it rained and the water beeding was excellent.

                              Few pics.

@BHS where did u get this kit from I have ordered the Meguairs Complete Car Care Kit from amazon which my brother will be getting. I am not sure this would be allowed in check-in bagage since one of these may contain aerosol which is not allowed even in check-in bagage.
