How to adjust the gear lever position i.e for my bike the gear lever is positioned lil high so that the down shifting is quite annoying and need to raise my leg and downshift. Need to lower the gear lever height. can anybody tell me the solution???

Finally time for some update. I'm sure this is going to be a long discussion for sometime here, raise brows on HMSI's quality & certainly to give strong thoughts for any prospect buyers.

So what was the issue? AN ENGINE SEIZURE AFTER FIRST SERVICE!!! (READ 950+ Kms) Probably the first seizure in this country or worst case, first seizure in the entire..
All I'm asking is...WHY ME???

BLOODY HELL ....WTF...I think its time to hit Consumer Court and plead for REFUND .
Its not enough to know how to twist the throttle; you must have judgement to know when and where to do it.

Oh it will be very very helpful for me if you can do that. I have checked the alignment with other CBR's parked in my office building and the connecting rods end portion is just parallel and below the gear levers rear end. The seizure shows that the moly coating had been totally stripped,and had happened in only one sector of piston, and may be the bore....you had already done the setting in and to see this happen after 1,000 Km is very strange indeed.The only difference I could think of is that during set in your ride was solo while the seizure happened when you were riding with a pillion..may be the extra weight,+ heat of midday ...stranger still you had mentioned that the temperature gauge showed 3 bars only at the time of seizure..seizures produces tremendous heat and the heat indicator should have reflected it...Either your coolant level or mix was low or your temperature gauge is Kaput...and you never got the chance to see the rising temperature before the seizure....just my thought.Originally posted by aargee View PostFinally time for some update. Your ECM /Injector unit must be checked for lean running
Your LC unit to be stripped down and checked for malfunction as it did not show any rise in temperature prior to seizure
Least expected on a set in engine...

Killer looks... Amazing work done !! Nice to see yet another guy from Lucknow in here on xbhp. seems i got mine just a day after u got urs. Sadly enough i'v been outta town this whole month so still haven't seen my bike except fr the pics sent by dad :P .. got my riding gear delivered yesterday.. Everything's just ready to be hugged by me

Will be home in July 1st week.. I know another friend of mine wit a cbr in lko.. guess we can team up n do a photoshoot.. the 3 RED monsters (and more if v find sum).

@aargee: What is the difference between clear coat&lacquering? I got clear coating done to my old bike at a local painter when the color shine had gone down. The shine is still the same&I can see a layer of transparent coat in some places where the paint came off due to sticker peeling. What is this?Quench my thirst with gasoline!

I certainly feel that BAL's products are better. Though BAL only has a few decade of experience & tiny man hours compared to Honda, I don't think there're any such major issues with BAL except for niggling ones.
And guess what? In 12 days of ownership, vehicle has run precisely 1234 Kms (as of now) and has stood in ASC for about 8 days & 4 days with me.
I just feel like newly wed wife was separated immediately after the marriage

I think you should ask for ECM and Injectors proper map and working to rule out lean mix , and a look at the cooling LC circuit for proper functioning and esp.,Heat sensor, the meter and it's accuracy and range.When Was The Last Time,You Did Something For The First Time.
