OK! I am little speed obsessedOriginally posted by darkknight View PostI was happy that MY bike did it given the fears that I had --nothing else
!
As far as i felt it viberates the same w.r.t the engine rpm and not the speed.I mean to say for eg. @7K rpm say at 2nd or 3rd gear how much vibe you feel you feel the same at top speed also. As i had an apache earlier obviously i feel very less vibes at high speeds.Originally posted by aargee View PostAraey DK, not that point.
Just wanted to check if the vibes are increasing with everytime you hit the top speed that's all. Because mine did. After 150 Kms (not kmph), the mirrors had vibes. Once I touched 123 Kmph, the foot pegs had vibes after 110 Kmph. This is what I wanted to verify. This is a characteristic with most commuter segments.Last edited by Youngking; 06-27-2011, 10:51 PM.Explore the unexplored!

Well did that too
152 to be exact
142 comes like a darn! Then that +10 needs some little stress. And loooots of time! And fully flat on tank :P More happier
If I can recall, The needle was somewhere on 9~10, Didn't redline. And I Kinda feel the ECU is limited or something like that! Not sure yet! (Did it on NH4 btwOriginally posted by darkknight View Posttouched 151 easily on a 6-7 km flat stretch -- guess it could have gone more-- was not red lining --
am a it more happy man now
)
Done some 700 KM's now bro! No vibes till 132, Then it creeps in!Originally posted by aargee View Post^^^ Damn it!!! I should've ideally been in a position to do such experiments & posting such top speeds!!! Anyway good to hear. What was the RPM DK at 150 Kmph?
@aargee bro! I checked with Didar Service Center, They have 2 I think, But not sure! Any clue ?Originally posted by aargee View PostAraey DK, not that point.

Little OT!
Does the mono-shock only have one setting ? And I want a back number plate guys! When I asked my people in Erode for a IND Plate. They said it will take them a weeks time since they order it from Chennai. So I decided to get it done here and asked a few shops in Choolaimedu and they are clueless. Any Ideas people ?
Thats the plate I am talking about. *Click to Enlarge*

Does service centers provide water wash ? My bike is damn dirty and needs one. And after reading some 7 pages about waxing and polishing! Damn confused what to do! Is there any shops to do it ? Or is there anything I can buy and do it on my own ?2011 - CBR 250R (RED, Delivered) - Happy Man! - SOLD

Utsav; takes less than 24 hours. Costs a little over Rs 600 & looks beautiful. Doesn't get rusted or broken under normal usage.Originally posted by BladeBoy View Postmy people in Erode for a IND Plate
Yes, free of cost during service. But I'd strongly suggest to stay away. Use as much less water as possible.Originally posted by BladeBoy View PostDoes service centers provide water wash?

2 days back even i managed to touch 132-134kmph with pillion (me 70kg + pillion 80kg) bike was struggled a bit after 120kmph reason i think i was with pillion , upright position and i wast ripping it was 80kmph-132/34 kmph in 6th gear it self . There wasn't any vibs on rider or pillion foot peg's but Grab rails were vibrating like hell . Also there was some vibs only on right clip-on . other than this bike was smooth and exhaust note was superbOriginally posted by aargee View PostAraey DK, not that point.

Its not enough to know how to twist the throttle; you must have judgement to know when and where to do it.

Well you didn't bro :P Alright, I will reach there on my due date!
Owners Manual ? O darn! Those guys just handed it over to my papa today! Along with with the service coupons!
Its on it's way to me via Courier! To be frank I asked the CBR Trained? (Thats how he calls himself lawl!) mechanic at Erode regarding the suspension setting and he gave me like a S%$# faced Simpson Doh! expression and it really made me uncomfortable and I replied, Paravalle Vidungo!
Regarding the Extended Warranty again a S%$# faced Simpson Doh! Expression, This time collectively from the sales / billing / whatever people they are! Now seems like I have to ask the Chennai Showroom for possibilities!
Well yeap I really loved that plate! Screw the cost I am getting it!
I really wanted to do it myself! But my rented apartment doesn't have proper space and I don't wanna get in a fight with my ground floor neighbor for ruining his space? (Well he says he owns even the ground lol!) But I will try!
Polish / Wax / (name) Whatever that is recommended, Where can I get it ? Please don't take me wrong that I am keep on bugging you mates for addresses and names
Seriously have no one here to help me out and my Audit, Law and Tax are keeping me busy full time curtailing me from exploring >.<"
Thanks for the address bro!Originally posted by aargee View PostYes, it kicks in at 10500 RPM

Utsav plates are not worth it cause they don't give you IND hologram. You only get a metal plate with embossed letters. Nothing different from local embossed plates. I order a pair for my car and when I got it there was no hologram. they said they don't supply holograms. :|Originally posted by aargee View PostUtsav; takes less than 24 hours. This was an year ago. Not sure if they're supplying it with the hologram now or not. just check with them before you order.M800 - 2001 - 5787.Nano 2011 - 5086.Figo 2011 - 518.P220 - 2010 - 5995.CBR 250R - 2011 - 250.sigpic

Aargee you seriously asking about pudhupettai ?Originally posted by aargee View PostAnd...why that may be pls?

anyways ! you can park your bike anywhere in chennai other than pudhupettai in chennai reason ... all the stolen bikes come there
They dismantle every part and sell it
! Imagine you keep the bike there and search for some accessories! " In tamil they say this -- Briyani ku aadu vangunam da ana aadai thedi namakita vandhuchu na ....

^^^ Don't know what's IND hologram. But for sure, it has IND & a hologram. Have 2 of them; one on Rx & other one on C250R. I've personally seen the local ones (Rs 400 etc) rusted after a while. But Utsav's are pretty easy (actually damn easy) to clean & DOES NOT accumulate dust. My Rx's plates are pristine clean even after 10 months & are perfectly clean. Even the tar spots seem to fail on Utsav.
Lol @Srivaatsav - For stickering job, why would he want to stay away from Pudupettai? Its going to be done right in front of him unless someone wants the bike to be left there for a day for a simple stickering!!! That's the reason I asked why scare him?Skill is what keeps you on a Motorcycle

IND is just a sticker.. but actually you are suppose to have a hologram above the IND which has a unique number along with your engine and chassis number engraved on it..Originally posted by aargee View Post^^^ Don't know what's IND hologram.
