                  • A big hi to fellow CBR 250R owners.

I bought a new CBR tri color 20 days ago. have clocked 850 kms already including 2 intercity pune - satara trips. I am planning to get the first service done as the bike feels a bit rough now and also i can feel the difference in exhaust sound. The chain has also gone dry , although no weird noise coming from it. I have few concerns ,

                    1) At around 4000 rpm in second gear my bike feels like it is suffocating.
                    2) When i park my bike after a short trip of 6-7 kms , i see oil/petrol next to the side stand. I consulted my local mechanic and he told me "bike over ho jaati hai" pointing at the pipe hanging near the side stand. What could be the actual reason??
                    3) And height of disappointment, The right turn indicator bulb on the speedo console is fused from day 1 !!! i went to the showroom guys to complain about it, they said we will address it during first service.

Also I am gonna get the first servicing done this week and i plan to get my bike serviced in front of me!! I dont want ASC guys scratching the exhaust guard , also to ensure my concerns are addressed.

                    Thanks,
                    GT

                        congrats for the new bike..

1st issue... yes it does feels like suffocating thats only between 3.5k-4k rpm only in lower gears once the engine warms up the suffocation goes away. tried explaining to the service guy but he cudn;t get my point.

                        but yes it happens.

regarding the leakage get it checked asap make sure if its oil/petrol.
both can have way diffrent reasons.. its a fi dude.. not a carb so no getting overflow. keep away your cbr from local mechs.

complain while giving for service to replace the indicator/bulb . dont be harsh but be firm. talk to the manager there and tell him that it has been like that if not done it will be complained to the higher authority.

1st free service will cost you around 1200 bucks..

my guard also lost gloss layer at a cpl of places.. neways will be covered soon with carbon fiber wrap.

                        keep riding..

                        • Oil change

Hey guys, posting after a long time! Hope you all are doing great.
My cbr went for its first service at 501kms, oil and oil filter were changed. As of now its run 2240kms. I feel that the bike is not as smooth as before. Another problem I am facing is that the Fork and steering handle seem to be very hard to move at low speeds (20~40). Any idea what the problem is? As far as engine smoothness is concerned, do you think I should change the oil? The color seems to have darkened to somewhat dark brown-light black. Also any particular oil brand recommended? I usually keep the revs high..
Appreciate the help guys! Ride safe!
