Im going for the PSD itself.lack of availability in 140 is the reason im considering 130

            Nope. Not the same.
Assume it like this. If you jab front alone, front wheel will lock up. This lock up will be sensed due to angular velocity differance of front and rear wheel. The sensors on both wheel monitor wheel speeds only. WHether wheel is locked up or not is being decided by control unit. If angular velocity differance, is more than Delta (Value i won't disclose here), it will be considered as wheel lock up and ABS will be triggered.
If rear alone is jabbed, due to combi brake, there are less chances of rear only locking up. However, if at all rear lock up, the referance will be angular velocity differance of front and rear.

Note: Read angular velocity as linear velocity at contact patch, as the angular velocity is being sensed and linear velocity at contact patch is monitored via calibration using tyre rolling radius.

I just couldn't stop laughing when I picturised that guy moving towards blade with hammer and screw driver.. But at the same time its really unfortunate to know that our blade is attended by such inexperienced persons. Galactus prime was really lucky as it all happened in from of him and not behind him. We cannot change how ASC guys treat our bike or how much trained they are, but lets make sure not to leave our blade alone with them.

I tried.. works without any problem from gear 2 to 5. But avoiding it as I still need to do research on it.

Fixed the problem just by refitting. Lets hope it lasts atleast for 500km
I asked them to test the battery which was found to be " low " , wondering this happened just before 6 months , after they have replaced under warranty now the issue persists.
How to protect the chain from mud and rust these days (Rainy) as i always feel a world of difference after cleaning and lubing it but cant do it for every day ?

Cleaning and lubing doesnt need to be done on everyday basis.. It is done after around after every 500 to 800kms... And some do it after 1k(thats just lazy me )..

                        • Downsizing is always a bad bad idea especially since your tyres are built to handle the weight of your bike and transmit enough traction to the roads.

Went to the ASC today. Saw my bike in her naked avatar. They were fixing up the new engine and they showed me my old chipped block which they will be sending back to Honda. The Forks havent been fixed because they told me they were waiting for the hose/pipe to arrive as they are replacing the entire assembly there and not just the seal. I'l be getting it by Monday or Wednesday.

And this is a big smack to all the haters who said Honda ASC is pathetic in terms of aftersales. I handed over the bike on Tuesday and i got my engine replaced in less than a week and also the fork issue rectified well under the given timeframe.
All it takes is to build a good rapport with the ASC and not go in there and bombard them with loud statements. It will only make things more worse.

The only thing my ASC lacks is the seperate CBR bay and the A/C customer lounge for the owners due to lack of space. Those folks even extended their time from 6pm(normal closing time) to 7pm just getting my engine fixed onto the frame and connecting all the cables and filling coolant in the radiator.

For my luck i happened to see the Mech following the SVC Manual word by word and he also had a chart with all the Torque figures for the bike.
I enquired about the Torque wrench and they had 2 brand new for different torque range.

All in all i am hopeful of a problem free ride with the new engine. #fingers crossed.

Aargee id like to recommend "Honda Matrix, Kodialbail, Mlore" and the SVC manager especially Mr.Kiran (man in his 50's) for the overall ASC experience. 10/10 for the support.

                          • one week just to change the engine--

disclaimer: i am not a CBR owner, but still a biker, so...

my pulsar gets an engine change (block-piston) valve relapping etc + clutch plate change+servicing in half a day.

even if doing so on CBR requires more work to be done, one week is just too much.

                            • Thats because the ASC does not stock mechanical components anywhere nearby and that they ordered for the block last week and im pretty sure it takes atleast 3-5 working days for the courier to reach the ASC. And it wasnt just the block, they are replacing the fork hose assembly aswell which didnt arrive with the same courier for some odd reason. Still pretty much reasonable compared to 3-4 weeks for a bike to be stored in ASCs as reported before here.

And a pulsar does not have to deal with removal of fairings/ radiator assembly/ sensors and all the other components. It is always easier to swap an Air cooled engine when compared to a liquid cooled.
