Hey bro looks like you finally narrowed in on the CBR... BTW bro please remember to look for the VIN number too. Would hate for someone else to go through the mental agony.

Battery might be the issue. Try push starting it. Shift to second or third gear for easy start.

The oil filter gasket is a bit weird. Didn't supervise the fitting of oil filter gasket when my mechanic did it.

It looks like this. It's not according to the shape of the casing. There are two little edges sticking out. Is this normal? Some please notice and report.

Now I'm Wondering whether I bought the wrong part? I guess the nothing was changed since the cbr was launched. May be the spares guy gave me a 150r's gasket that too I don't know if it's any different.

Now, The super blender I did was while putting the casing back and tightening the bolts, one bolt was not Ohk. So I thought I would try and turn it one more thread if not will buy a new bolt and replace it. The time I twisted it the thread cut and the bolt head came out and the remaining is stuck inside now. And the oil is leaking now because of this half tightened broken bolt. Now it has to be drilled carefully and taken out. I had to bring it back to chennai to do this cuz I don't trust the SVC guys here or any one for that matter.

So for now my mechanic suggests that I seal the oil casing with mseal and it can be easily removed later on while I take her to him for fixing the casing. Does that sound good or makes any sense? I really don't have any options here.. 😭😭😭
What I could assumed from your post is you ended up with a broken bolt.* If yes, it can be removed by two methods.
              1. If at least quarter inch of bolt is left outside of casing, a tapping tool can used to remove the remaining portion (Easy job).
2.* If not, a T handle will be welded onto top of the bolt and will be removed by turning it anticlockwise (can be easily done by welder - make sure you put a wet cloth wrapped around the surrounding of bolt).* Drill or tapping would be needed only in case of stripped threads.

Thanks for the suggestion. Yes the bolt head is broken (almost 1/3rd of the length). The remaining thread is stuck inside. Tapping is not possible I guess. I will discuss these points while fixing it and choose what's best wrt the condition of the bolt. As of now she is stationery cuz of this. :/

Maneesh, it's simple, if you can hold the broken thread with anything or say it has a protrusion that can be gripped, then you can try your luck undoing them the case. But if the bolt is cut clean say flat and if that flat is thread hole, then you'll have to drill it out. What I'd suggest is use a gasket sealant and then keep the bike, trust me, these things makes us go hyper and guess what we'll eventually screw it up even more. Take it easy and do post a picture of the broken thread inside the casing, but if you've installed the oil filter cover, and need to remove everything for a photo, then don't fret. Take it a drill guy and keep us posted.

                    Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                    The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

                    THE END

Thanks for your concern guys. I'll post a pic tmrw morning. And the bolt is cut clean flat so no way of taking it out with drilling or welding as discussed already.

I just wanna seal the oil leak as of now so that I can ride around a little and then take it to chennai by month end for fixing it. I don't mind replacing the oil filter casing if using m-seal would spoil the edges of the casing. Cuz for gasket sealant I have to remove the oil filter casing to put it that is not possible now I guess. I'll definitely keep the progress posted.

                      Thanks again ☺️👍

The highlighted area is where the oil is leaking from now. And sorry i couldn't get a better angle to expose the stuck bolt inside.

                              Hi Manish,

Looks like top of remaining bolt is parallel to the casing. It will be removed by welding a t handle or drill method. Better remove clutch case and then go for bolt removal job! Will be done easily. No worry!
