no aargee...i need to first visit the place, see for myself is it safe for my bike...the place, the parking lot, the weather etc etc...

n den if i find it ok, i'll take it next year around march...

but i have to find out a place to store it while at home..surely i wont be transporting it back!!

Believe me, i have no heart to sell it..not 1%..

and as of now, i think that i may have to leave it behind here in OR and drive it when em here for winter/summer and dussera holidays!

If i were you, I would surely take the bike with me. Not sure about the salty water issue, but what I've heard is that Manipal has a lot of big bikes and car. So make friends, and learn from them how they take care of their bikes.
If you are comfortable, ride it to Manipal. There is nothing like taking the CBR for a long ride. Otherwise transport it, simple.

Don't; all we're suggesting is to take it to Manipal along with you. Besides it will help you to keep it safe. Get a disc alarm lock, strong chain & lock or something & you can keep enjoying. Trust me, once you enjoy riding to OR-Manipal, you'll stay away from riding to home !!!

Hi, i actually live very close to manipal, i assume your planning to join MIT i personally have been in the campus as well as hostels and let me let you know that with regards to safety of your bike you need not worry at all, also with regards to rain, it's not that bad, generally we got rain from june to sept after that it's pretty dry and you always have the option of roofed parking if you really are that paranoid about rain ruining your bike even in your campus you shall be able to find loads of covered parking.

About your salt in the air issue, there are no such issues, people ride bikes here too, most of them have owned them for quite long and parts have not dropped of due to rust that apart, manipal is good 8 kms away from the shoreline and on a much higher area so practically you need not worry about the salt-wind

See bro with regards to that the best option is leaving your bike behind at some friends place, once you come down here, befriend the localities and seek the help of anyone decent to leave the bike at their residence, i personally don't find it safe to leave my bike at any other parking space in my absence and if your just as paranoid as i am then park it at your friends place and don't leave the keys with him and don't worry your bike wont be ruined if you dont start it for a month. PM me for any other details, even with regards to the place or if you need help finding anything

                              • My C250R has completed around 2.2k KM, service is done.
Call me noob, but i didn't know that My Oil filter was changed or not nor those ASC guys told me about it.

Last week, i complaint about my bike with few issues mentioned below:
                                1. Over heating
                                2. Sometime gear shift problem.
                                3. Knocking while under 3k RPM in 3+ gears
                                4. Vibration above 5k RPM in 4+ gears
                                5. Max speed only 133(solo) on full throttle, tested in 6 lane clear highway
                                6. Vibration on right foot peg b/w 4-4.5k rpm in gear 4-5

Now the ASC guys responded to me that you have lodge a complaint, please bring you bike for check-up. And now i came to know that Oil Filter was also not changed,

Waiting for the update from them, they have taken the time till evening.
