I hope all the CBR 250s get the same meterOriginally posted by kurtrules View PostI seriously feel that your meter is optimistic. You have done 158 kmph on it which I have not heard anyone do.
. Always in any motorcycle reaching 90% of speed is easy and the to extract last 10% there are lots of factors involved and it is really difficult.
It is really possible under favourable conditions like good stretch of road, favorable wind speed, less weight, correct air and engine temperature, well lubricated moving parts etc.
I'll definitely post a video soon
.
And not to be mistaken whatever I had posted it is the speedo reading and not the true speed.Explore the unexplored!

Its not 18-20 Kmph; C250R IS 9% optimist on speedo; its like the old N250R's meter that showed 180ish while it was only in 140ishSkill is what keeps you on a Motorcycle

My RIDE!
Attaching a picture of my ride. Completed 300Kms in 8days of ownership, constant rain in Bangalore spoiling my days
Keeping the radiator clean is a big thing man, I wish it had a slightly longer mud-guard. Any take on this guys??
Any suggestion is welcome...
Besides, my bike idles at 1.7RPM which I find too high, was unable to set it to a lower value, the NUT for the same wont move...Last edited by rmchhetri; 08-12-2011, 12:07 AM.

The Spare Part dept of Honda is soo pathetic that its been over a month since the order was placed and it has not arrived yet.
Can you tell me what exactly the problem you are facing ?? any steering wobbling ... you dont feel the bike goes straight ?

Even I am facing some problem with the handle bar since yesterday.. The exact problem i am feeling the handle heavier than it was previously.. the right side of the handle feels heavy and at slow speeds it feels like it gets dragged to right.. And because of this I'm having pain on my right shoulder for the past 2 days.. And also when i apply brakes i feel like the bike is pulled to right..
But the straight line stability is good.. Tried taking off both my hands and there was no problem the bike was going straight as usual.
Could someone tell what the problem might be..Last edited by kishoremuthu; 08-12-2011, 12:44 AM.Everybody dies.. But, not everybody really live!!

There is no wobbling in my bike. And the bike does go straight.Originally posted by srivaatsav View PostCan you tell me what exactly the problem you are facing ?? any steering wobbling ... you dont feel the bike goes straight ?
The issue is that the steering is a bit hard. As in, its not very smooth. I never felt it, nor my friends who rode my bike felt it, until the Honda engineer told me about it when they came for the Vehicle Checkup camp. Also, off late I'm hearing those weird sound from the front.
I'm still able to ride my bike comfortably, or maybe I've got used to it. But going further, definitely the steering race cone set needs a replacement. So waiting for the spares.Last edited by sudeepnbr; 08-12-2011, 12:45 AM.Sudeep P Nambiar

luckily yesterday one of my neighbor was watching at bike and Front tyres and said if that is on low air, and that turned out to be low or allmost zero air in front and i never had experience of Tubless tyres.
And there you go my CBR is super smooth and healthy while driving, that seems showroom didn't even bother to check for Air pressure while delivering the vehicle

^^ Low air is what the service centre guys told as the problem. However I got it checked and it was exactly as written in the manual. I have tried with a slightly higher (around 32 front and 36 rear) tyre pressure now and the bike does behave slightly better at lower speeds however, cannot say that the problem has gone!Last edited by chicmagnet; 08-12-2011, 01:13 AM.

Are you saying you found a NUT to adjust the RPMOriginally posted by rmchhetri View PostBesides, my bike idles at 1.7RPM which I find too high, was unable to set it to a lower value, the NUT for the same wont move...
???
You cannot adjust that on C250R; just wrig the throttle a little or wait for about 30 seconds & you can see the needle idling to 1500 RPM +/- 100 RPM.Skill is what keeps you on a Motorcycle

I had never heard of a crumpling visor / windscreen. I always thought their purpose was to improve aerodynamic properties of bike and/or provide protection to riders.Originally posted by surya@64 View Post
Visors or Windscreens are designed in accordance to international safety standards and will crumple in case of a fall or collision. .Now with a steel bar retainer...it looks all the more dangerous and purpose defeated.
Can you please enlighten about these international safety standards?
Thanks.Never argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and then beat you with experience.
