No, not really; I'm yet to see one part made in Japan yet.
Let's believe the delay is as above, then, why's the production slow in India? Is it because India is catering to Westen markets? Well, no; The west gets "Made in Thailand". Its really a big question as why there's so much of spares shortage. Someone also posted saying the Thailand parts have started reaching in India.
Last i heard Some components are exported from Japan itself and then assembled in India and Thailand.
EDIT: Just googled my own post and this comes up:
It seems i am not the only guy to hear about this news.

IIRC, they said, 92% of the bike is from India, rest 8% is made/imported from outside (maybe Japan). Not sure what all it includes.Last edited by sudeepnbr; 07-21-2011, 12:01 PM.Sudeep P Nambiar

Re: Mind Your Language
Hi Aargee,Originally posted by aargee View PostMind my language? I'm using a standard term. Pls see for yourself what's the real meaning of third world - Third World - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. I respect your patriotism on following laws of the nation than over a discussion forum!!!
Understand the definition of the Third World. I have taken the below details from the same source you have provided:
"The Third World refers to the countries that were unaligned with either the Communist Soviet bloc or the Capitalist NATO bloc during the Cold War. This definition provided a way of broadly categorizing the nations of the Earth into three groups based on social, political, and economic divisions". Sauvy, the person who used this term for the first time wrote, "Like the third estate, the Third World is nothing, and wants to be something." He referred to the Third Estate of the French Revolution.
No where in the world it is written that these countries are & should not entitled for the better living conditions. The world looks at many of these countries now as emerging economies & do not use the age old terminology.
Anyway it is up to you how you would like to define the Third World. But the context, in which you have used it, is all wrong & was not needed.
Regarding the quality of, Honda, I'm not sure if Honda will turn deaf ear to your complaints since it is a Japanese company known for quality. Try once to speak to the higher authority of Honda directly, regarding the problems (realistic ones) & see the response you get. I did that against Canon, Sony & EPSON (the products here don't matter, & they are costlier than CBR250) & I got what I needed. It is just how you deal with them (if you really care for your 1.8L).

Guys I also got my bike serviced at 600 kms and as I notice the oil filter has not been changed. Now God knows when the oil filters shall arrive. Is there no other solution? Like some thing from market? I am planning to undertake a 1000 km journey. Will it be a problem if I dont get the oil filter changed before it?

Lets stop it here guys. Later you would all laugh at the extent to which you went to satisfy your personal egos. Believe me I know the importance of stopping before it gets all too personal.Originally posted by abhijitkn View PostHi Aargee,

Apologies for messing up with the thread. Couldn't stop myself. Nothing about the ego or personal issue though.Last edited by abhijitkn; 07-21-2011, 02:20 PM.

The bajaj Caliber and the Yamaha FZ oil filters are close match and are easily available.at 35/- to 40/- rupees. they can be fitted and will do the job...only thing filter change interval need to be more...just to be on the safe side...You have to convince the SVC to let you use it without warranty issues, otherwise stick with old filter itself.Originally posted by sumit512 View PostGuys I also got my bike serviced at 600 kms and as I notice the oil filter has not been changed.
