Dude, whatever your point maybe there are better words to express them.i havent been offensive against you.im just talking about the service provided at the Honda service centres.
If you are happy with the service, very well.im not,as i do expect better service and value for money.
As a customer i dont need to worry about Honda's problems. Its their duty and their job.My job is to pay for the service i get.
Who will accept a broken dashboard in return of the money you pay for servicing? Forget abroad, even in India several companies offer better services.
reason like "developing" nation is laughable.
i know the problem you faced.we all supported you in that.nice you took everything positive.we all are here to help each other.not to debate.

i am seriously shocked at how disappointing the CBR250R has turned out for so many people.

never really expected Honda to drop the ball like they have with this bike.

    .
    +1.

Anyways,i didnt get the oil filter.dont know when it will arrive.my bike has done 550 on odo.im worried about exceeding 1k mark before getting the filter.
any suggestions?is it ok if i exceed the 1k limit without filter change?

    cheers.

Nice point; well your points are really valid & true be frank, that's what everyone expects. But again, this is India, we're not one among the developed countries. May be your's or my children MIGHT get better service in the future. Not for now.

Wow!!! Is it? Pls tell me a manufacturing company that offers a great service for their motorcycles selling less than 1.5L. It might be better than C250R, but remember, they've come a long way.

I know, I know; its not that I'm debating; I'm only asking you to move on; if you consider that as offensive, I don't know what to say. I don't believe in the kind of direct help, but rather one should help in self help on longer terms which is what I'm trying to do.

Trust me, I haven't attended one such class ever in my life, atleast till now. What I speak here is my direct experience, not a single exaggerated word. I only speak my mind.

Anyway, can we keep all these OT aside pls & pls forget it, if it hurts you.

Don't wait for K mark; infact a good friend of mine who's pro in automobiles adviced me to make 2 changes before K mark even if I'd to pay for labor & it certainly makes sense.

NO issues even if you exceed the 1k kms mark. Make sure you keep the service guys informed about this. I got my service done at 1110 kms on the odo. No issues with the bike nor the service guys.

im not just talking about bike manufacturing companies. If services provided by car manufacturers can be good (like audi or even tata- both of which i have experienced),so can the services provided by bike manufacturers.
im sure companies like ducati who do not manufacture here provide better services.agree we pay much more for those bikes or cars, but just because we have bought something worth 2L or less doesnt mean we dont deserve the same quality.
& irony is, i got better service for my activa!never had any issues.same company....& i paid much less for it!so why the carelessness for CBR service?

Reality is,until we keep accepting the low standards we will never get better services.

Postponing oil and FILTER change beyond FIRST 500 Kms is not adviceable. It is in the early running in time from 0 to first 300 or 500 Kms that the engine moving parts are tight and grinds against each other dropping their burs, metal flashes and particles into the oil, and the filter catches and holds them. The oil also goes through accelerated wear, and looses its property much quicker. For this reason a early change of OIL with OIL FILTER is good for your engine.....just my thought.

                  • Oil filter not changed

During my first service on the 16th july 2011 , the asc guys did not change the oil filter and said they will change it at 2nd service or after 90 days, currently i have done 750 k on my bike, will there be any issues related to oil filter etc.plz advise.
and is it okay to clean the chain with diesel and apply grease,as that's what was done by asc guy and i scolded him and asked him to use chain cleaner and lube.

Bro if you havent changed the engine oil yet, then its fine you can wait until you get the oilfilter..but changing the engine oil without changing the oil filter is of no use coz the old oil filter is going to spoil your enigne oil soon.

                        • One way to increase the height of the clip-ons

                          Hi friends,

My Pune-Rajkot trip proved beyond doubt the pressing need to increase the height of the clip-on handles.

Fitting a standard bike handle bar was out of the question: it would have involved drilling into the base plate and in any case, there was not adequate slack available in the cables.

As of the time of writing, the extensions have gone for chrome plating. I will be on leave from 22 Jul till 07 Aug. Will post the final result in the week ahead.

You are attempting a dangerous modification, by making a separate attachment to raise the clip on position...In an emergency situation with hard front brake application the clip on will be under tremendous stress, and having joints, that too on the vertical plane is highly risky...

While the Left Extension piece will tighten with braking, THE RIGHT HAND EXTENSION WILL ACTUALLY TURN ANTI CLOCKWISE..ie., WILL BECOME LOOSE....Because your extensions are threaded type.

                            Kindly rethink on your mod.
