Its Nelson Rigg Spirit 30 Tail Bag, I don't have pic here. Remember posting the pic in Riding Gear sometime ago, probably in the month of June

Not really. There would be a noticeable difference.
The filter is designed to catch the debris and let the cleaner oil.

            • hellow guys!! If you remember, I told u i was upto making a DIY paddock stand for my CBR..well, since this Manipal news came all of a sudden and asked me to join As soon as possible,

I told my fabricator to start and finish the stand ASSSS FAAASSTTT as he can!!

he told me "bhai, just gimme 24 hrs and leave behind ur CBR for 2-3 hrs and "aisa stand banaunga ki branded stands apna naam badal dalenge"

i said do what u have to but u have 24 hrs, just gimme sumthing..to support my bike while em away..u can complete the finishing and colour and whatever u have in mind when i am in for winter holidays
n he said "dont worry bhai,if necessary i'll spend the night in the workshop to finish ur job and gurantee u will like my stand more than any branded one"

took one and a half day and this is what he did!! >>>>

              • PS:

I never told him to colour it yellow or make a handle or write "Honda" or "CBR" or anything on it..i just told him, i dont have time so just make something..i dont want a fancy stand or "original looking" type!!

whatever has been done is totally the idea of my fabricator (includes the colour and stickers)..he even wanted to fabricate foam handle bar and swingarm retainers and adjusters but since i was on a serious crisis of time, he said he'll do it when i come for holidays...

The material used was extracted from a gym equipment (for making calf muscles..dunno wat thats called) so NO QUESTION of low quality product...

costed me 2500/- (500 was tips for the exceptionally awesome stand he made for me in such a little time...i just wanted to hug him and say "bhai u are the bestest among the best"

he confessed in the end that "if it wer not for you, i wud never have made a stand with so much dedication and passion for perfection...for any other customer, i simply wud have said "we dont do such stuff" ..

He agreed to do more stands for anyone who wants it done and willing to ship it (provided u pay for the shipping)....
U just have to use the name "Amlan" or else he'll say NO!

for more details, drop me a PM (ps i may take anytime from one week to one month to reply to us msgs as i will be on the move this week and will take some time to settle down at my new destination) or else drop me an SMS on 09583368893 (as long as em gonna use it,max to max for another week)

At last ,Dedicated to all the DIY people like Aargee,TheSting,FastestIndian and all those who value for their money and wudnt wanna waste some 5-6K on a simple bike stand for the sake of "brand"!!

catch up with ya guys later wheneva i can...have fun guys!

Ya i have seen those cheap 2-3k red/blue paddock stands in delhi..even the honda paddock is not stable enough and it starts to wobble with the bike on it...u apply a bit of pressure, ITS GONE!
But i can gurantee anyday that mine is MUCH MUCH MUCH tougher and durable!

Above all, therez totally a different satisfaction in doing something yourself which is absolutely one in the whole world than just picking up sumthing for money!

does the back of the paddock stand touch the back of the rear tyre while u're taking the paddock stand off (pulling it upwards) ???

                      • Amlan - I certainly don't underestimate or put your efforts to drain, I was only trying to say that I've seen this model. I would really love to make that Abba paddock stand, which helps to put the bike to swing front & rear, just like a regular main stand.

                        • I just found out the cause of Delay in Honda's production line these days for the CBR which has affected not just India but major developed nations aswell from a Jap friend at Honda.

"The delay is not due to direct damage from the quake, but due to slowdown of the production line of parts to conserve electricity after the loss of capacity due to the Fukushima plant being lost"

The waiting period of CBR is 4 weeks in Japan
Correct me if im wrong but i think most parts of the CBR parts are from Honda(Japan) and are assembled in Thai/Indian plants?

Yup; go a back few pages; I confirmed the same. Its the same case here in US too.

Wow!!! This is a news really!!! But my question will be, if the entire vehicle is made in Thailand & India, what's Japan's plant got to do with it?

No, not really; I'm yet to see one part made in Japan yet.

Let's believe the delay is as above, then, why's the production slow in India? Is it because India is catering to Westen markets? Well, no; The west gets "Made in Thailand". Its really a big question as why there's so much of spares shortage. Someone also posted saying the Thailand parts have started reaching in India.
