  • Posting a few queries I had regarding the ABS version, would help me in making a decision:

1)Any feedback on the braking of ABS version of the CBR250r?
2)How effective is it on wet surfaces or surfaces having gravel or sand?
3)How predictable is the braking and does it inspire much more confidence under hard braking conditions?
4)And finally is it worth the extra moolah(Almost 30k here in Bangalore)?

Looking for first hand info from guys who are using the ABS version of the bike.

That's crazy!!! For a 300 Km ride, you don't even need to carry a chain lube!!! Pls don't underestimate or...insult C250R

Don't worry too much on the oil; you'll go paranoid if you start hearing in detail. Just stick to what your ASC suggests. They use SS in most places & FS at few.

Certainly not underestimating her and I have enjoyed more than 5K reliable and joyful kms. As I said in my prev post my chain goes really dry after 200Kms, I still believe my touch sense . Don't know whether due to that punky spary lube which I use. And I am aware a dry chain would start grinding the sproket and Itself, hence the precaution.

          1) I found the braking to be better compared to other non-ABS bikes and it's quite responsive.
          2) It's as much effective on wet and gravel / sand surfaces as it is on dry.
          3) Braking is very much predictable. It stops when you want it to stop. I've been saved more than a couple of times because of ABS. Even at 120kmph, the brakes are just marvelous.
          4) Definitely worth the extra money.

                  like the change?
Dont try this at home plz!! if you have no idea abt disassembly then never remove this . It will mess the faring and break many locks ! Leaves hands scratched .
Took 8 hrs to install it !

                  will power up lamp tomorrow!

                    • Ankit - Can you edit your post & remove the quotes on the pics pls? Its difficult for ppl who browse over phone.

ZMROD - Excellent!!! Hope you don't care about warranty

POS - Quite sad; but that's the issue that lies in the root of the system. These guys will be the same no matter they're given C250R or C1000R. And... haven't tested as you said on engaging the clutch, but avoid though. On a different thought - Never use clutch & brake at the same time. Use clutch only when shifting gears.

and regarding the service camp they said it might happen by this month end.. but no update as yet.. i'll share if i get any update on that..

@Sudeep: might be true because when i booked on May 1st mine was 130th booking in that showroom(TODI) and at the same time the other showroom(SHIVA) said they have 50 bookings.. there are only two Honda Showrooms in here.. but i seriously doubt that if they have delivered 129 before mine..
sure!!.. where do you stay? Newtown or Salt Lake? Cuz you have the Axis Mall in the backdrop of your pic.
Anyway, AFAIK Shiva Honda has delivered 20 odd CBRs.

Seriously, I second that. A DIY explanation please.

By the way, in my opinion, the plastic quality has been bettered. Compared mine with the Display bike and the former seemed better.
