paji is making good lights but i will ask u 2 totally compare the prices and then check the pass beam low pass and high pass . mine low high beam has stopped woking may be wire disconnection . but i am totally happy with all work . be aware abt faring refitting its easy to open but very hard to refit. i lost my 3 lock panel but still fine with it.

The dealer gave me the owner's manual with a modified servicing schedule stuck over the front page. Pic attached. According to this, the servicing has to be done every 3000 kms! But the owner's manual clearly mentions 6000 kms. But I think this is better, 6K seems quite a long time.

Guys has the servicing schedule changed ?

Damn!!! If this were true, I might dump my C250R. 3K servicing interval is crazy if it were international model. Unless HMSI has changed their engine pattern for India!!!

The customized servicing schedule has been provided by the ASC and not HMSI themselves. If you observe carefully, there are 4 free servicing included in the same time-span in which 3 'official' servicing are supposed to be done. I am really not sure if this is for better or worse?

Can anyone who has recently received the bike confirm this? Meanwhile I will check with my dealer regarding the authenticity of this customized servicing schedule.

              • Dump the dealer; send an email to HMSI asking if its for real. Your email will help several others on the community as well as the real enthusiasts.

Edit - Thank God!!! I'm relieved that this is a trick by the dealer

Even I was suspecting that this would be from the local dealer to make some business. Believe me I have clocked 5.2K kms now and did my 1st service @710K kms, Still I do not feel any need for a service. As mentioned in the manual even in the 2nd service the major thing is the oil change and few basic inspections.

Ya same here! Applied anti-rust spray on the gear knob...doesn't seem to make any noise for now .....

                    • I have dropped a mail to HMSI regarding this issue. Let's see what they come up with.

@Youngking - Thanks for the confirmation. This definitely means that my dealer is trying to earn extra bucks by making me go for extra unnecessary servicing. In fact, according to their schedule, I have to service my CBR every 2 months! Heck, that's less than what Bajaj recommends for my old 2006 model Pulsar 150!

                      • Got the bike after tappet adjustment. Honda has put in rubber mats (something like that) between the tank and the head cover, perhaps to segregate the two. I don't know why they have done that, as when the engine heats up, wont the rubber burn?

Tappet adjustment ... ?? how long does it take .. ??? Cos one of the ASC(JSP CHENNAI) said it would take two days ??? Is it true ???

                          • Depends on the availability of shims. If the ASC has the correct sizes with them, it takes a couple of hours.

                              I have a feeling this is a dealer's optimistic service timing. . .
