    • No offense for people upgrading their horns, but just penning down my general thoughts. People like western style, want roads to be like free way, want to see discipline on road, but, are the westerners having loud pipes?

Especially on C250R which's an international model & not to mention blowing up the warranty!!!

You could use ROOTS smart tone with your stock battery . i have used them earlier these twins really sound well
Now i hav ROOTS WINDTONE they drain stock battery very well . so stay away from high battery consuming horns . until u change the battery to 9amps

          • Before opting for a new horn, try tuning the existing horn itself-it can produce slightly louder sound.
Just take it to a mech. or do it yourself-the horn nut needs to be turned.

Does any bike engine become red hot?? Please tell me if so as i dont know any.. Yes, i can imagine the exhaust pipe becoming very hot,, but i dont mind if it sticks there. The worst case is, it may go under the rear wheel. But i plan to fix it with nuts & bolts and if it has a chance to still come out, anything on the bike fixed with a nut&bolt has..
how can it catch fire? Please explain to me if i dint get your question correctly or i am under wrong assumptions.
LOL, that was just a metaphor!

Just voicing concern though. Had tried it with a piece of paper earlier but it flew away, being light. Plastic being a bit heavier, thought it might end up sticking to the pipe or worse, engine. Just random concerns!
Will definitely try this on my bike too now and stick with electric tape. Should help.

Use the Screw on the side as shown. Turn it anti clockwise or clock wise and test the sound. There is a locknut beneath it, so first u may need to loosen it. once done, tighten the lock nut.
                  Hope it helps.

Thanks a lot aargee. Also Would be nice to meet you, but only if I return back to mumbai before Sunday. Currently i am in Nasik (200kms away from mumbai). Will pm you my number if so.

@chicmagnet: thanks bro. And no offense intended. The flap i made was all in a hurry and used a plastic sheet(used for spiral binding) and dint expect it to last. But surprisingly it did. This week i will spend some more time on it and post results. You too try it and share so that it helps us all.

Note: btw, apart from the tape thats seen above, there are also two strips of tape between the sheet and mudguard stuck in fashion we stick balloons to the wall..

If there is a CBR meet-up in Mumbai, it would be cool to join in!

                            • Guys, I have a question. Couldn't find the exact answer in the manual.

What is the recommended fuel octane rating for the CBR250R and what fuels are you folks using and why?

I was using normal unleaded as there no diff between that and the Xtra premium apart from a few additives (Both 91 octane). I want to know if I am right or should look up to filling in Speed 93. Thanks!

Avoid using Premium petrol...difference is only in price...they are of no use...fill Normal Petrol...
