I wonder if that's what you've learned from xBhp

And, if everyone keeps doing something wrong, it doesn't mean we should follow it despite knowing its incorrect right?

And Lol, if you want to look good, dress up & clean your rides good

        +1 on that.

I too, don't like loud horns and don't really see the need for them. It just promotes unnecessary noise pollution and may take a person on the road by surprise (may lead to accident) who you're overtaking.

Metal compression sound after expansion; happens with all 4joke engines!!!
Ji,With higher Octane number the fuel will not have spontaneous ignition, and lesser octane Number means self ignition at higher compression ratio.
From what I have learnt compression ratio of 9:1 and below can run all day on the normal petrol with 87 octane .......But 9.5 : 1 and upwards the octane requirement becomes higher to stop spontaneous ignition...by running a slightly rich AFR mix this can be controlled to a small extent only ,and lean mix will lead to higher temperature and pre-ignition.
Igniting the fuel a little before Piston reaches top of cylinder is beneficial in harnessing the power, and at higher RPM and speeds the time for full burning of the AF mix starts to become less and less...so the Ignition time is Advanced to a safe Degree Without Pre-Ignition....This is where a higher Octane greatly helps...With Higher Octane the Ignition Timing can be advanced more without pre-ignition and damage to the engine.
Regarding the Hole at the bottom of the Exhaust,it is for draining the condensation water to prevent rust formation inside the exhaust..you will find the same hole in Karizma also.
            Just my thought....

here in delhi most of the riders and drivers wait in jams and they dont like to press horn because of sound pollution but for us loud horn works like charm and we get side too if someone see that he is pepping again and again then they stop their car or bike and say bhai phele tu ja..
              what else we need.

this thing works for me and i like to press horn and go zooommmm.

              • hey guys got my bike y'day. After fixing Shim's issue bike felt good.. now engine feel's smooth and also vib's level has also reduced to good extent . Also did 2nd service it took some 4-5 days for SVC to fix everything i appreciate work done by Vihaan Honda (Thane) and i think its crruntly is the best SVC in this area. The mech also showed me Old shims and explain everything.
Its not enough to know how to twist the throttle; you must have judgement to know when and where to do it.

                • Got the CBR serviced at 5k. Fresh oil and new oil filter. They had fully-synthetic as well, but I am going to stick to mineral till the next service before switching over.

The brake pads are fine, good for another 5-6k kms as per the service personal.

Note (CBR Owners in Delhi): Fairing parts, cone-set, oil filter, brake pads (front and rear) and other spares are available at Globus Honda service center, Gujranwala town, GTK Road, New-Delhi. Those in search of spares can head there directly!

                    • Guys,

Am from Bangalore/Electronics City, Got my bike from planet honda (Rajajinagar).

I have my CBR 1st service due next 4 days (could rev only 350 kms coz of rain)(its a pain to wash and blow air it to keep the bike rust free), Suggest me a better place for servicing and person name to quote (if he is known to be expert for CBR).

Also suggest me a chain cleaner and lube/greese, i want to lube it every 200 Kms, coz i noticed it to be hard/dry/dirt after 250 kms.

Guys let me know what all i need to keep note for 1st service, say like Engine oil type, oil filter specs and so on...

As far I know and have heard, Sapphire and Silicon does a decent job. Contact person in Sapphire would be Zeeshan & Ali. They're the ones who work on CBR.

Chain lube - There are many. Motul is the most heard and preferred I believe.

During the service, make sure that they change your Oil filter. Engine oil they'll be putting will be a Honda made, fully synthetic 10w30 oil.
