  • wat shud be my patience limit? no seriously!!!

1.I have a brother who owns the R1, the CBR600RR,Hyosung GT250R, P220 and a fz (sold) and he told me " i know how to handle these bast*** so just call up HMSI and gimme the fone...

and my bro criticised that guy like hell like "tu yaa tere family member ne toh nahin diya 1.6lacs..so tera kya jata hai agar mera gadi kharab hua..tu mujhe apna naam bata mujhe tere naam me kuch chote mote actions lene hai"

and that guy got so scared he gave the fone to a lady...she, "FINALLY" told us the truth that "sir, we have already sent a mail to the manufacturing plant for your tank but havent got any reply from them yet"
we said,we dont care, just gives us a deadline or honda goes down the drain....she said "sir we cannot assure a fixex time as it may take anytime between 1 week to 1 month, give us a little more time"

for the time being forget that

    Next:

today the CBR sales man called up and told me "hey amlan there has been a problem, Pravhat's (xbhp "Pravu") chain has started to rust and hes is totally pissed!! he threatened us that if he doesnt get a replacement or full refund in 7 days, hes gonna drag us al to consumer court"

so i said " 7 days? well u know better than me i am waiting since 2 months for a tank and a footrest and chain in 7 days?"

called u pravu bhai and he is seriously upto screwing Honda big time..

em i still supposed to sit silently and say "yaa ya sure, take ur time, but please try and hurry"

Lol!!! What is high premium? For ppl still on commuters, this is premium, for people on N250R & above...is that a high premium? It isn't right? There's no point calling a bike premium or non premium. For that matter, any Jap vehicles are to be termed VFM products. So where's premium in it? Unless we talk about Lexus or Acura, which again are in cars. Let's keep this away for now.

No, I'm not patting up for sure. I'm only stating the fact. HMSI is certainly least bothered, but again, like there's good in every evil. This certainly provides us (atleast me) to gather a great amount of knowledge because of these lazy guys. Trust me, I was determined not to learn anything on C250R except topping up coolant, engine oil & brake fluids & confine the garage work with Rx. But the way things are going is...I think I'll be forced to learn

Ofcourse; Remember, even the most trusted engines in world such as Ducati, HD, BMW has recalls, which means MANUFACTURING DEFECT. But what determines the good-will that you said earlier is that...
      - What is the intensity of the issues
      - How frequently does serious issues occur
      - How long does it take for the issues to get resolved
      - What kind of support does the manufacturer provide

To me, except the last 2 points, I feel all other things are addressed by Honda.

That's what I HOPE, but the truth is that, they may not be

Very true; they're present world wide, if they make marginal loss, they can still survive from other markets. Besides, our country is yet to become a fully consumer driven market.

Forget the cheaper part; so its clearly evident that Honda is trying to make artificial demand then.

I fully agree on this. I'd say, let the vehicle run for about 6-8K Kms & then we can all judge how good or bad their technology is.

Bro, you got me wrong. When I say premium, I mean the additional price tag that the bike carries than the rest. Any bikes from Honda(even those made here) are charged higher premium than the rest in the segment. Be it activa/unicorn/stunner or any. For that we pay for a Honda, the least they can assure to us is their quality.

I think 157 is with a tail wind down slope....from what i had heard bike struggles beyond 140 and touches higher speed over time under favorable condition.

                  • @ psr : Top speed of CBR is not 145kmph, It's 160 kmph. I managed to do 155 kmph pn the express way and i still had some juice left. My friend did 160+ on the same expressway but at a different strech. plus the stability which the CBR has at 125 kmph compared to that of kzma is way better.

                    • There will be speedo error at higher speeds. 160 kmph on speedo is not the true speed, it might be 150 true. Anybody know what is the percentage of speedo error for CBR250??

Lol!!! It doesn't carry any addition price tag than rest. Its just that HMSI priced it as such.

9% is what Thai guys report; C250R, IMO, can only do about 140 or max 145 Kmph on true speeds. Not more than that. Pls wait, a friend of mine is trying to get accurate results using several GPS Once its out, we'll come to know.

what is the RPM to speed ratio on top gear for CBR 250 ?
For ZMA it is 15 Kmph for every 1,000 RPM, with limiter at approx. 8,300 RPM

Can you guys suggest a good Lid for about 1 to 1.5 grand, as i have a plan to get an AGV lid in the near future. Hope i can convince some one to bring it from US...
A full face steelbird lid is in my mind as i not confident about tht modular type Ninja...

Did any one get this big tank pad for CBR?

i have found rather smaller version at showroom here yesterday- attached image.
