To be frank i did not expect any changes, but i was in for a pleasant surprise after i was handed the bike back to me..
Not sure about the other places, but i believe talking to your dealer might give u some idea when the this might happen next.

Got delivery of Black CBR (non ABS).

Went for a 30 km ride just after delivery, love the bike. Keeping it below 5000 rpm. Need to study the owners manual thoroughly.

Took 3 years extended warranty for Rs. 1200.

Honda is selling road side assistance from an external vendor. For Rs.280, 3 support visits in a year (24x7) are free - covers puncture and towing to showroom with some extra charges. I think the charge for puncture fixing is Rs.50 extra within the free visit.. It is a new initiative which is only 1 week old.

I had a talk with the guy came from HMSI, he told that they have started this camp from delhi, then bangalore, and next is chennai.
Bangalore should take few more days as they are doing for one dealer in a day.

The vendor is mumbai based. I think what he meant was that the service started in Bangalore recently.

Didnt mean it that way. Wanted to check with anyone in Hyd as probably they can share whether it was rectified? At which SVC? etc etc...

I am experiencing it between 3-2 only... Wonder if any of those camps are scheduled in Hyd also???

Today i got my Red Std CBR delivered n drove around 21 km.It was raining like hell today in Gandhinagar , so was bit worried about chain et al.

1. Idle RPM is about 1800.Is it okay?
2. Gear box is bit notchy.I read in other threads tht with time it smoothens out.So should i just ride or c my dealer?

Ideal RPM on cold start should be around 18-1900 and should settle to 1500 rpms when heated up.

May be getting my CBR on Saturday ... after a long delay ...

How frequently or occasionally? Must be the oil. How many Kms over & have you changed the oil? If you've completed nearly 500 Kms, then go for an oil change even if you've to pay for the labor (just Rs 35) & the oil cost + oil filter (Rs 260 MRP). Oil should cost about Rs 300 for 1.5 lts. Ideally...
For a new engine 1.8 lts
Oil change with the oil filter - 1.5 lts
Oil change without the oil filter - 1.4 lts

If I attend the Chennai's camp, I'll certainly inquire about Hyd. Or may be Hyd is over, just that the dealer might've called people who could only give positive responses.

Nope; Idle is about 1500 +/- 1000 RPM is what manual says. So, ideally, DO NOT start the bike & run immediately. Any 4joke requires lubing all the internal parts of the engine. So give it sometime. I'd ideally give about a minute & was shocked to see manual stating about 3 minutes.

It should ideally be smooth from day one. But just give sometime before visiting the ASC

U r rite bro.Today morning after heating up the engine, it settles down to 1500 rpm . I m finding the gearbox a bit notchy especially upshift from 3rd and so on.Downshifting is smooth comparatively.Is it normal for a new bike?
