Over here, one has to buy both pieces. The reason is its not that cheap and many ppl aint even aware of these products. So, the sales fig is kind of less. Only a juicy request can melt the shopper's mind anyways. I am sure in blore, the scene must be different. You can get any one of your choice. But its advisable to clean the chain before lubricating it with chain lube. The call is yours anyways. However, chain lube tends to finish at a faster rate than the chain clean.

      • I have booked the CBR C-ABS version. Is there any one here who has got an ABS version?

Can anyone shed light on what is new in this ABS?

I know this different from CBR 600RR and the 1000RR ABS brakes, these ones are Electronic controlled ABS and the one in CBR 250R is mechanical. Honda Claims this is new and better.

        • Service center will not drill into matter and look for the oil used to lube the chain. I don't think it will void the warranty. But any technical issues due to the oil used, will be a different story. Also they will not use any costly lubes like Motul and will use any cheaper but effective one.

Its better to lube every 500KMs as it will not last more than 600-700 KMs, except any rides in the rain.

A paddock stand and Motul Chain Clean/Lube will be always handy, else you have hit the service center/local work shop frequently to lube the chain...

Yamaha are selling Motul in their stores. Don't know what they recommend for R15. Any thing regarding the frequency of the lubing mentioned in the CBR250R owner's manual? Any lubes available for sale from Honda or recommended by Honda service??

I was given an estimate of 360/- for the OIL change and complete service. I have heard the oil change costs about 650/- so i am curious if these guys are using the right oil for the engine. I even asked if the Oil filter will be changed as it is mentioned in the booklet. I was told Oil filter is not available as yet. Would like to know your experiences.
They would be putting in mineral oil. And ask them to get the oil filter at ANY COST. What they'll do is they will just replace oil as of now and as and when they get the filter they will change it wherein you'll have to get the oil drained again and replaced.

I suggest you wait for the oil filter or call up Honda. That's what I did. My oil filter was couriered to my dealer from HMSI, Manesar.

Nice, Wonderfully written. It's the same feeling whenever I take a delivery of a car/bike. The excitement and happiness is more when you get a vehicle which is new in the market.
