Possibly issues with shim May want to check out with SVC. AFA my test ride, I didn't have any issues starting around 1500 RPM's. Absolutely no knocking for sure after 2K RPM.

Can't really believe it!!! From my understanding, there's no cable to be removed from the front wheel since the speedo is digital. So, I'm not sure how it can be done.

FZ has a completely digital console. And you can easily remove the cable from it. Not sure about CBR though.

@Amlan - What you are saying may be true only in very few cases, which ideally shouldn't happen. AFAIK, the bikes which are given to journos/media are generally given by the factory and not by the local dealers.

well em not sure, a quick chat with the manager himself revealed all these facts! he said that its not just in orissa but everywhere elz! the first few batches of bike that arrive mostly have been run for a few kms and then handed over to the original customer..after a few bikes say (20-30) has been sold, then we start getting untouched bikes!!

and he also said that people who get the first bike in their regions, are bound to get a pre-ridden bike even if the dealer denies the fact and although the odo may not have any reading!!

I guess people like me who wish to acquire completely untouched piece should wait 2-3 months more.

plz help me understand ....wher u fueled n wat were ur breaks on d route ....expecting if u got 43 u must have fueld at haathkamba & then directly at wadkal...

I rode my cbr 1000kms in last 3 days on my way back i first toppped up at kankavli then at chiplun to be exact 220km I told the guy tankfull and only 5 liters went in and tank was full again I was shocked. On my way to kankavli i tried to ride it in 6th gear almost all the time and I got 37. And while returning I didnt try anything just tried to cover the distance as quickly as possible. One more thing I am sure that on NH4 i will get much less average than on NH17 as most of the times I will find my self riding full throttle

Every thing on all the bikes I test rode in hyderabad were working, All the gauges were working. I wont deny the fact that these bikes will be sold some or the other day but they will be sold at a lesser price. This happens with all the demo cars at showroom and I believe this is the case with bikes as well.

Giving the bikes with 200 kms on the odo is actually not a fair thing. Also, during PDI, odo reading has to be noted on the PDI sheet and these will be sent to honda (this info was given by the sales manager when I asked him what is the guarantee that people get an untouched bike )

People who got their bikes with 200 kms on the odo should shoot a mail to honda regarding this issue.

FE : In the city I'm getting around 35 kmpl (with few bumper to bumper jams). Highway, yet to test.

                  • @ Argee: I've not measured the stopping distance, but just judging by the approx distance taken to slow down, I concluded that the ABS helped reduce
the stopping distance. Also, I felt the ABS helped brake a lot later, than usual.

So, time for some cosmetic mods, so here's what I've done

                    1) Got 'Honda' logos on the bottom cowls, just to break the montony of the all black surface

                    2) Textured tint on the visor, helps bring out the contrast b/w black and silver

                    3) Reflective rim tapes (white)

                    4) Keiti tank pad (TK 022)

                    5) SMD pilot lamps, look great on the bike, and bloody bright too ( Rs 650 a pair)

Please excuse the phone cam pic quality

                      • @hifisharu - Everything looking great. Even I've planned for the Honda logo on the bottom cowl. Is it reflective?
Was not thinking of any light mods. But after seeing the pilot lamps on your bike, I'm seriously thinking of it. Please let me know where we can get it?

                          • @AmlanR: Plan to change the headlamp to Osram Nightbreaker, or Phillips Night Vision/ Crystal vision, that'll balance the colours

Bangy guys: For the SMD bulbs, contact Navnish, the HID guy on Xbhp. The bulbs are just plug and play, and very easy to install, Cost Rs650/ pair

Here's a link for SMD bulbs: What Is SMD LED?

                              • @Hifisharu - Its only a feeling within that ABS helps to reduce the stopping distance. If ABS helped to reduce the stopping distance, then, all the vehicles should be equipped isn't it?

Nice pics & BTW, you're beginning to change my mind on the color of C250R. The underneath engine cowl with HONDA on it, simply is brilliant & is a perfect match for the Silver C250R. I'm sure there're much more people who're going to follow you.
