@Vicky - Thanks for the initial ride impression.
Regarding the engine heat, I guess once the run-in is completed, it should reduce.
I got it from ebay.com. Delivery was pretty quick compared to other orders.

Heat issue will be sorted around 100 kms. I had the same issue first but now it's all fine.

            • btw, i did 575 kms on my odo today! going for the 1st service tomorrow:

here are my observations/faults that i discovered on my 100+ kms ride today:

1.the handle bar in not equally inclined, the left side touches the tank.

              2. noticable knocking at <4K RPM range.

3.kind of a "tick tick" sound somewhere from the front as if a small plastic stick is constantly crashing against the bike (somewhere from the front side near the radiator)

4.Well is my CBR so noisy or is it the CBR in general which has a the "dhuk dhuk" kinda silencer sound like a bullet....(people keep saying "honda bikes are the most silent bikes on road, but ur CBR is an exception"

5.well, like i had said before, i had a few scratches on my tank and my silencer guard (as well as 200 KM reading on my odo)..
well, i went to another honda showroom today and they said that if the scratches were present before delivery, u have all rights to get ur tank replaced with a new, spotless one and so also the silencer guard...so em gonna do that tomorrow, ask them for a replacement (i toked to my dealer and he said he will do wat he can to satisfy me..or else, the commissoner (my dad) is gonna srew them)

6.THE problem is i have to remove the tank pad (from planetDSG) and reapply it on my new tank....is it possible??...
              sumone suggest!!!!!!

7.all otherz are small problems like a noisy gear shift, noisy chain...etc etc

Tell you what? Take it to ASC, ask them to carry out the PDI once again, right infront of you. DO NOT touch anything else to claim your warranty.

Its really simple..... Screw them(dont srew )...
Go and sit on there throat & tell them to rectify all problems...
I dont think they would replace the tank, but surely they can apply touch-ups....
And do update about the ASS at cuttack....it will help future buyers like me....

Removing the tankpad is a simple task-I have done it once on my R15. Just use ONLY your fingers&pull it out from the corner once you get a good grip. DO NOT use sharp objects.
Once that is done, you can use some soapy water solution to get rid of the residue of double side tape marks.
