As KurtRules said, I would recommend you to wait.
You just 750 Kms on odo & first service is done at 1000 Kms.
You still have 250 Kms at hand.
Go slow on Kms & take that time in couriering oil filter at your place.

I know it is very much tempting now, but oil filter change is crucial in first service as people often say oil contains worn parts of engine (before first service as engine walls & piston settle down).

So wait, & utilize time in getting oil filter & everything that manual recommends during first service.

Ya i dont mind paying another 50Rs to get an oil filter couriered from somewhere elz but the problem is, where do i get it from????

I dont see any indian site which sells the oil filter for the new model CBR250R.....any suggestions??

A few pages ago there was a member who mentioned that he called up HMSI and got it couriered from there to his dealership. Call up HMSI for service support I guess?

                • Congrats DK!!!

Guys, i did a nasik-mumbai-nasik one day journey on my cbr yesterday.. A total of around 500kms. Got the engine oil changed and the oil filter cleaned in mumbai @ the SVC i did the 1st service(oil wasnt changed that time). But the oil they
replaced is some Honda throttle 10w30 and costs Rs.504 per litre. Total oil change costed around 700rs.
About the journey, it was good. Had no wrist, palm or back pains not even butt pain (i think i shall plan a saddlesore soon).. A bit of neck pain but i guess thats because of the new and heavier LS2 helmet.. But was bearable and was gone after a couple of hours of rest later.. I seriously need a better windscreen.. I am just 5'6" and still the wind flow is too much.. Two problems faced.. One when going towards mumbai.. I took a halt somewhere halfway.. And the bike was just in front of me all the time.. But when i started from there.. Just a km later, my right mirror started shaking.. I stopped immediately and saw that the clamp that holds the mirror rod and is fixed on the fairng was loose.. Removed my toolkit and was pissed off to see that the allen key bolts used on it were different that the key provided.. I somehow tightened it with my fingers.. I tried taking out the mirror as it had the size of bolt that was removable with the provided key.. But it was too too tight.. After some efforts, i just folded the mirror inwards for minimal air obstruction and got back on the journey.. Rode @ 40-50kmph and tightened the bolt with hand twice till i reached the SVC.. Got it fixed there..
While coming, 50kms away from mumbai, i dont know why the engine just stopped
and the rpm went to zero.. I took the bike aside.. Inspected everything was fine except the bike did not start.. I was pissed again.. Looked everywhere and found it alright.. Then i noticed that the engine kill switch went ON.. (engine off mode).. I turned it ON and the bike started again.. I just dint look at it @first because i dint even think i touched it.. But then i think must have accidently turned it off..
Apart from these, i was just flying throughout the road.. One uncle in his car just stopped me to inquire about the bike and my riding gear..
Mileage i got is around 32kmpl but its not accurate and just a rough calculation.. (my yamaha rxz sometimes just managed to give me 20kmpl on this route.. But generally was 30-35kmpl plus the cost of 2T oil) so i think the cbr performs awesome for that fuel efficiency.. However, my rxz did not have a speedo, but the time it took me for the same journey and same road conditions on the rxz was just 15mins more than the cbr..

Edit: one more reason to worry now. I called the SVC incharge now and confirmed about the oil and its a synthetic oil.. I just couldn't check that yesterday when he showed me the can as i was in a hurry and he had assured me that this is the only one recommended by honda.. At the time of oil change my bike had 1212kms on the odo.. The incharge is ready to take all the responsibilty of my bike and assured me to ride it without worries and if any problem, he will take care of it.. now i have done around 180kms on that oil.. And i dint find any difference.. But guys please suggest what should i do now???

Also they had a red cbr abs there which was brought by a guy who got it from a broker in delhi and tranported it all the way from there to mumbai.. Paid 35k extra for it.. And the bike has many many problems in it and so was there since 3days.. Plus the owner could not claim any warranty as he bought it through a broker..

yaa its fun when people come upto u and start asking abt the bike...yesterday i was in my full gear when two domino's guys walked up to me and asked "xcuse me sir?"..(i though they wer here for some promotionals) but they started asking "sir kitne CC ka bike hai?top speed kitna hai? cost aur mileage?? "

many others ask u abt ur bike at red lights and parkings etc etc

my friends mocked at me "abe nautanki, jyada publicity bhi acha nahin hai....avoid toking to everyone who asks u abt ur bike"...hhaha

i will keep that in mind while taking my bike's delivery. But here i don't think there will many bikes to choose from. Only one bike arrives in a load.
Currently only 2 bikes have been sold by my dealer till date. Mine is 11th.
