Changed bikes engine oil y'day . To my surprise oil was in black color and when asked SVC they said sir It's minral oil which we are using ( reason :- The so called semi-synth oil has not arrived in SVC) so i think i should change this minral oil (20W40) after every 2000-2500kms and bike shud be happy .
again i was charged 400Rs. for 1.5l oil . Though i didnt change Oil filter as it was changed in last oil change ( 1st servie) so i will change it at time of next oil change.

2. Asked Mech to take oil Air Filter

and to my surprise it was all dirty . I doubt that these filter gona last for 10000kms . I think AF change at every 7000-8000 kms is right . Till now bike has done 3000kms so far and running smooth .

i remember few cbr owners getting aftermarket products from http://tyga-performance.com/site/index.php...how reliable is this site?? any problems with the customs???.
would like to know the if any extra taxes are to be paid??

I have bought a windscreen from TYGA. Its a reliable site, no doubt in that. For buying any part they will give the exact amount(Rs) during purchase. But when the product arrives at your door step you need to deal with the customs duty if any

overheating

Hello every1,
2 days back i got my Red CBR (std) delivered n clocked around 180kms till know

. The engine gets heated quite rapidly n takes time to cool off.Is it normal for a new bike n if so, until wen it will return to normal conditions as temp. signal shows only 3 bars

. Plz clarify me.

Dont get so much picky on the stuff. Most of the cleaners* are just mild detergents.
Get hold of Turtle wash&wax / Armorall wash & wax (costs around 350/400 rs IIRC) and you are set for a long time ..

Engine getting heated up during run-in is quite normal. It'll decrease after some time.
But you need not worry unless there are more than 3 bars on the console.

Thanks! Really helpful as I've always given my bike for cleaning, and now I intend to do it myself.

thank you..how many days does it took for you to get the wind screen..i am planning to get full exhaust system from there..and if you dont mind how much does the customs people usually charge???

So many products and reviews, the problem is, even a single manufacturer produces many types of wax/polish, T_T
I had made a consolidate report for CBR250R's paint care, now i think have to rework.
Can some1 start a new thread specifically for this?
e.g.

1. Bike Wash ( ONR / amway bike shampoo) etc ?
2.
3.
4.

What do you guys say? same with other products like lube, oil, etc...

^ you wont get the same product recommendations from all. Just try few products & find the best one u like..
