I would say it as mishandling than a quality issue.

This seems you have done a high pressure water wash on the engine block when it was still hot. Drastic change in paint temperature might have caused this peel.Originally posted by arjun0070 View Post

if it was due to a wash at high engine temp the color would have come off from both the sides.

All I could say is, if its confirmed that its not due to pressure wash, then talk to ASC & get things straightened; one can do that otherwise too.Skill is what keeps you on a Motorcycle

chain was lubed with MOTUL chain spray during deliveryOriginally posted by Eshan-P180 View PostAre you guys applying chain sprays and stuff..I mean apart from the usual lubing you get after periodic servicing???
Cleaned and lubed with MOTUL for free at SVC again @ 600 Kms
Cleaned and Lubed with MOTUL once again during 1st servicing @ 1025 kms
Bought a MOTUL lube and cleaner while returning from SVC after 1st service..
waiting for my fabricator to finish my paddock stand so i can clean and lube it (the reading now is exactly 1600 kms)
wat kind of sound exactly bro??Originally posted by ansh@honda View PostThere's is this sound from somewhere in the front...I went to the SVC twice everytime the service guy tells me he can't hear it...
He even told me " sir apke dimag mai baith gaya hai...koi awaz nahi hai"
But I m really irritated by the sound wht is the reason ne1 has a clue????
i too have some weird "tik tik tik" sound somewer near the radiator...
i was sick so didnt ride my bike for 4 days, when i started it today, the engine was butter smooth...the "tik tik" was gone!!!!!i was so happpie!!even at full rev,i cudnt hear any sound....
again after touring for some odd 70-80kms, at low speeds, therez this "tik tik tik" sound !!!

Also, noticed that my radiator fan has become very noisy...instead of the smooth sound, i get a "trrrrrrrrrrrr" sound from it..

What else to say to people who do water wash? Can't agree more. Yes the high pressure water wash will cause these in long runs. but from that pic we can see lots of paint/powder coating has peeled off from the engine. I had many pressure water service on my FZ and has absolutely no probs. Even sometimes i had washed the bike with detergentsOriginally posted by Youngking View PostThis seems you have done a high pressure water wash on the engine block when it was still hot. . So with one or two water wash these issues are not definitely acceptable. Checking many post on this ownership thread is a proof of the bad Quality from Honda
.

No point to have done an effective service at all, when there's no change with the oil filter.Originally posted by Rahul Rods Tewathia View Postdone 1st service on 600 km but i cudent get oil filter in delhi so change the eingen oil only.
FYI - the filter's MRP is Rs 260 (Chennai) & the price of 20W-40 Honda engine oil for 1.5 Lts is Rs 300; tax is about Rs 26 & the total was somewhere around Rs 590.Skill is what keeps you on a Motorcycle

i left a feedback there...pretty sure it wont be accepted. lol!
Its not the water wash alone..the issue comes in when you dont dry the water.... or when too much of pressure is involved...Originally posted by aargee View PostYea, keep doing those high presure water washes more
What else to say to people who do water wash?
But unfortunately by the time most people realize this, damage is already done..

Argee: i know the manual recommends either 10w30 or 20w40. But i very well remember the HMSI people wanted me to use ONLY 10w30 and nothing else.Originally posted by aargee View PostNo point to have done an effective service at all, when there's no change with the oil filter.
