      Are you guys applying chain sprays and stuff..I mean apart from the usual lubing you get after periodic servicing???

        i keep tinkering with the idea of getting one of these...
        and every day i find one more reason not to.

        paint peels, engine issues, gear box problems, bad service, rusting parts...

        Honda seems to have dropped the ball on this one.

            Opening my account... of course i have done my 1st service..

            1. i am hearing a very light sound continuously from front (i think from the handle)..
            2. downshifting is not proper though shifting up has become bit smooth after service.. most importantly the problem is severe when trying to shift to 1st gear from neutral..

            guys need your suggestions to rectify these issues..

            regarding chain rust.. did u guys lube the chain properly.. even my chain was in the same condition.. thought during service they will apply lube (which is mandatory in 1st service) but the service technician told that they don't have stock of chain lube so he asked me to go for MOTUL chain cleaner and Chain lube.. I bought on the way back from service centre and applied it immediately after reaching home.. and know what, it works wonderfully.. the rust is completely gone after applying it.. i would suggest you to try it..

            P.S. The cost of MOTUL chain cleaner is 450 and chain lube is 480..

              Hi Dude, I booked CBR250r std (Red) on 9/7/2011 at My wings honda in Kothrud Pune, but I am still disappointed that no dealer in Pune is giving test ride. Although I booked the bike after reading lots of reviews, but still eager to test ride it. Please suggest as you too are from Pune. Did you got test ride before buying the bike??? If yes then please help me get a test ride.

                Get the fairing clipons checked. They would have removed the fairing for oil change and they would not have fixed it properly.

                    actually this problem was there even before servicing.. i complained this issue but they are not able to clear this.. i had an argument on this with the technician and finally he took me for a test ride and first he was driving less than 4k RPM and there was no sound.. but the sound comes only after 4k RPM.. i told him to accelerate above 4k RPM at idle (in neutral) then there was that sound.. then what he did made me say yea everything is fine now.. he rode at above 7k RPM in a small crowded street and said see now there is no sound.. and he added these bikes are made for high speed riding and so the sound will not come when u ride at higher RPM.. but i know that sound was still there even at higher RPM but couldn't hear that due to exhaust note or u can say "fear of his reckless riding"..

                    my worry is if the sound is due to the cone set rust problem which few have gone through..
                    i think the guys who had this rust problem can clarify this..

                      There's is this sound from somewhere in the front...I went to the SVC twice everytime the service guy tells me he can't hear it...
                      He even told me " sir apke dimag mai baith gaya hai...koi awaz nahi hai"

                      But I m really irritated by the sound wht is the reason ne1 has a clue????

                                Do you mean to say that, if pressure washed the same can happen to other brand bikes too? Can the R15 guys confirm the same.
