After a 5 month long wait the baby blade is here finally. Last 2 months were the worst since I had sold my Bullet and the other bike was 2 big for day to day work.

Got the number from RTO today only, the bike has already done 250 km without the number plate. Difficult to keep your hands off, if you have been waiting for 5 months.

No problems so far. I changed the oil after 200 km, as usual no oil filters, so I am not sure if the oil change will be beneficial. Have you guys figured a suitable replacement for the oil filters?

Some pics of my ride along with a friend of mine who got his CBR 10 days back. These were taken at Lonavla.
      Congratulations on the new ride.

This leak turns the oil blackish, and carbon in oil is not good for lube.A thinner oil by virtue of lesser Viscosity has the same effect since ring sealing is less with it.
Motul is by far the best oil for bikes, and stand up to temperature and use better ....Just my thought.

Thank you for sharing this. I will have to check my engine oil color asap as it has been 2781 kms since I changed it at first service. I am still not sure if I can convince the Honda service engineer as he & the expert persisted only on 10W30 when I requested for 20W40 on 7th July the day I met the experts from Honda. Anyways, Lets see.

Here is the image of the chain I had promised. The bike has clocked 3768 kms total. I have used Motul chain clean & chain lube myself with some hardwork without the paddock stand I would recommend Motul as it does an excellent job and removes most of the rust. I recommend regular use at atleast 1000 kms as it will maintain the chain well and improve its life too.

PS. This image was taken after 52 kms of cleaning & lube.

        • Anyone tried rear suspension adjustment without removing the brake&footrest set? Because I could not adjust it until i removed the brake&footrest set to make some space, otherwise the exhaust seems to get some serious marks.
On last saturday, I went for a 200Km ride with pillion on NH208 which is little bumpy and with lots of tempting curves hence adjusted to the toughest settings. With pillion the setup was ok both by comfort and dynamics, but I returned back the same way alone with the toughest settings. It was more stable at corners but at the cost of comfort. It was really hard to sit continuosly for even 50kms, thanks to the hard seat as well. I have re adjusted to full soft setting for my tonight ride back to bangalore. I have decided I'll mostly use soft setting and rarely hard setting for some serious rides or heavy pillion.

Is that the reason you bought a C250R?

Soft brush, move horizontally. This is what I remember reading somewhere on this forum

You must splash water into the radiator preferably thru a hose(no pressure wash) while brushing. otherwise the fins will bend.

If the colour is what you dont like you can always opt for some other colour.

will scan my bill then will post it here plzz tell me is this okk only for oil change.

now when i will get oil filters in 1 week they will charge me 250 for oil filter and some more money for lubing chain..

so may total for 1 service will come aroung 1100 rs..
Friend! At any point service centre cannot charge labour charge in free servicing for work specifically prescribed in owners manual (look rear side of the 1st free service coupan in owners manual) except for any extra thing u personally asked for. You should not pay for anything apart from cost of engine oil, oil filter & taxes on it. They should not charge even for chain cleaning & lubing except for ones done individually irrespective of servicing.
