I had a bad purchasing experience from Didar Honda tnagar, never got a service manual or anything, I don't think, the mechs had a clue about the bike, luckily, my service centre Didar Honda Egmore, were excellent, qualified and kno what they are doing. I ran the bike in from experiences and tips from other CBR riders and 18000km later, bike is running fine as hell

Guys i hear faint sound like coins jingling whenever i ride on irregular surfaces or between 3500-4200rpm (RPM range at which rear view mirrors shake slightly). I am still unable from where the sound is coming from but its coming from front part of the bike (most probably somewhere in the space behind headlamp and below the instrument cluster)
It seems like something is loose (maybe a washer) which is making this sound.

        It sounds something like this:

        Any leads?
There is no destination, I just want to keep riding.

Guys I changed my engine oil today asking with the oil filter. I couldn't get a gasket for the oil filter cover. So I replaced the old one. Now the oil is leaking via the oil filter cover. Has it happened to anyone before? Is it just cuz of the gasket? Or have I poured excess amount of oil considering the new oil filter?

Is it just in that particular Rev range you can hear the sound?
            How much have you clocked?
How long since the chain tensioner/shims were replaced?

Hey guys would like to know the oil change intervals in relation to semisynthetic n full-synthetic oil? For my usage I felt 3000km oil change interval is good for improving the life of the engine, with semi synthetic, would like to know if anyone uses fully synthetic oil and wat are the intrevals. The service centre says 5000-6000km..

4000km on the odo. Never replaced tensioner/shims. Sound is not coming from cylinder. Its coming from somewhere under the instrument cluster. I can hear it only when i go over irregular surfaces, potholes or between 3500-4200rpm. (there are slight vibrations at this rpm range).

Is it easy to remove front cowl of the bike? (the plastic part over headlights, which holds visor and rear view mirrors. I think something is loose that's making this sound.

                  Check your number plate bolts.

Is the hold strong enough for high speed runs on the highway??

                        And is it de-attachable?

Yes, it was stable at speed of 100 kmph.
Little vibs but map was visible.

Need tyre and engine oil recommendations? Tyres I'm between, Michelin, mrf stock conti go. Engine oil my doubt is should I use fully synthetic or semi synthetic? I tend to change oil every 3000km, not used full synthetic, I'm using Honda factory oil not sure what but I'm changing oil to motul. Also is there any mod or improvement on the chain set?

Why don't you Google it? Just add xbhp to whatever item you want, and it'll give you a relevant page of this thread.

Majority of hypermilers use shell advance ultra 10w40, fully synthetic.

Majority of users swear by Michelin and mrf.

Few people have good experience with Contigo. I'm one of them.

AFAIK, Honda oil is fully synthetic, 10w30. Your engine is built to run fine on all oils meeting api classifications SJ, no matter mineral or synthetic. If you change your oil at 7000 kms also, your engine won't break down on the spot. It will just wear down slightly faster.

Its been a month since I've faced the stalling issue. I have a theory that the poor idling and random stalling is due to the throttle getting stuck in certain positions, thus misleading the sensor.

The only thing i tried For the past month is - I wring the throttle up thoroughly before i start the bike, then I chop the throttle close every time I change gears, rather than let it spring back. Now my bike hasn't stalled at all this month.

Requesting members who have the random stalling issue to please check if this technique puts an end to the stalling issue in their bikes. Tia.
