Go for extended warranty, esp for these new launches.
Give me sometime in the morning, I'll call up my dealer & give you complete details as when & how it can be done with the prices. But for sure I know it was somewhere a little above 2K.

I think honda is trying hard to complete demand of spares ( OIL filters, etc etc.) because y'day i had to visit my sVS for bike washing and all but then i also got oil filter changed as they are available now .
Its not enough to know how to twist the throttle; you must have judgement to know when and where to do it.

Yes have seen; don't know what to say. But if those are replaced under warranty, its good. What else to say?

Do me a favor can you? Just ask the dealer if the extended warranty can be purchased at any point or only at the time of buying? Mean to say, if someone has bought C250R, can they buy the extended warranty after a week or a month too?

I'll be calling my dealer by 11:00 AM to get the answers, so appreciate if you can get me before that; so that if he tries to confuse, I can get him to think straight

                      • srivaatsav - Here're your answers...
                        - Extended warranty CANNOT be provided by the showroom after you've purchased the vehicle.
                        - It will be dealt by ASC. I'll find out from them when I meet them in person this weekend. I'll also look for clauses as what is & what is not covered.
                        - Looks like, it requires special permission (not sure from whom)
                        - Costs about Rs 1350 in Chennai for C250R inclusive of taxes
                        - Most importantly, you've to get it done from the ASC from whom you've bought (IMHO, this is an excuse. Anyway, I'll keep posted on this sometimes during next week)

No right? This is why I said, try approaching other ASC's, then you'll know who's right & wrong..

Nah..these are truthful guys, just a bit lazy..cus i had gone to SVC nearly 6 days after purchase for my tank replacement....they took a pic of the tank with their camera and said they will mail the pic to HMSI and lemme know their response..10 days ellapsed and nothing happened so i called up HMSI , and HMSI agreed that they had received a picture of a black CBR's faded paintjob..they wer confused wheather to replace it or recolour it...
i said i dont want it locally coloured so i prefer a new tank..they can colour it when they take it away...and so they said they will dispatch a brand new tank from the warehouse.

and when it comes to ASC of HONDA, well we have only one in my CITY (less than a km from my house)..the other one in the twin city is nearl 24 kms from my house and is totally crap!

                            1 honda, 1 yamaha, 1 suzuki ,3 TVS,3 bajaj.....

Whoa!!! Its damn fun in the city. Very easily flickable & the amazing torque in any gear leaves most people behind.
fun in the big cities with wide roads, not in small cities like us, where main roads are worse than roads in the worst colony of bangalore and traffic is so high,u are stuck forever...

they best option for you here is the smallest scooty u can get and not biggie bike...i betcha a scooty ES will beat ur CBR hands down in here!! and so, in the city i prefer my platina while on outskirts or long drives, its the CBR!

Its terribly boring to drive a 250cc bike at a speed of 30-40 and in 1st to 2nd gear MAX!

Bikers who are native to my place often say "People who know to cut their way through Cuttack City traffic and roads can drive through almost any situation, any road, any traffic"

What spare part have you been waiting for? Can you share them pls?
Dunno abt others, but em waiting for a footrest for now! (i havent placed an order through dealership, i placed an individual emergency order with HMSI, eastern zone)
