    • God damn it..this xpolice is now pissing me off beyond any means. If I get another of my post deleted in this manner I am out of this place forever.
All I said to Niranjan is "wow..which bro of urs booked the cbr..if the bikes to be in nasik or in pune..and how the engine break in for ninja is coming up"
It's related to bikes..related to cbr..and related to engine break in. Agreed it's not at the core of ownership experience but it aint ranting nor flaming anyone.

Agree with you. Putting a lock prevents anyone from entering data. Since it has only few informations useful to only CBR owners i thought what those manipulators do with this. Anyway I take your suggesstion and will share a protected sheet soon. Thanks for your feedback.

I'll be calling my dealer by 11:00 AM to get the answers, so appreciate if you can get me before that; so that if he tries to confuse, I can get him to think straight
Sorry for the delayed response. I was busy with my work.

EW can be brought at the time of purchse but it should be done with in one month of purchase else they won't do the EW. This is what was told to me by the showroom manager.

                • Excellent Tks Vijay. Also it is appreciated, if you can find out if ASC or the dealership does that within the 30/90 days of time.

BTW, does the EW also depend on the city? Because someone said its Rs 1200, while its Rs 1350 here in Chennai.

apart from that, minor issues will turn into major issues if not rectified in time which can prove deadly in the long run!! how wud it be when u are crusising at a speed of 130 kmph and somethin goes terribly wrong and u bike performs an instant stoppie throwing u meters into the air and finally u crashing into the ground, bleeding to death?
i accept there had been issues! but not with all CBR's! mine is running absolutely fine! and amalan ur 130 kmph stoppie is mind blowing! i admire ur imagination! dont worry am not gonna die like that! and next time plz include any bollywood star in ur stories!!! lolz!

The problem in picture is a quality issue which i am trying to bring forward to all propective CBR buyers and those who are using this bike currently. Let me add to the delima No Oil Filters , No Oil Gaskets, No Parts whatsoever. I have had a Karizma which i used for 7 years not one day was it grounded this way.
yes i agree we have paid money and we have every right to question them! this happens in most worldwide launches ! i hope honda calls back all defective cbr's and hav them rectified!

may be in chennai u enjoy all these comforts! but i ride in the narrow roads of madurai with lots of traffic! this kinda gets me irritated! to get over this i take my cbr to highway and drive peacefully often not knowing where am i going! my wifey asks me- r u nuts ? y do u go for ride alone like that without any purpose!

To a certain extent YES. Reason being that - First Impression is Best Impression. Most bikes had a faulty SHIMs in the beginning, so that's a fist big let down; then the change in the engine from MC41 to MC42 for India; ofcourse, there's one engine oil leak reported, one ASC messed up with SHIM causing to replace the crankshaft. But the fact remains that most people DO HAVE non faulty vehicles. May be only a few of them report that.
i just gave my CBR for service! the mechanic who handles cbr said he had been instructed to check the shim/tappet settings on the first service!

                      You are welcome.

It is done with-in 30 days only. The Manager of Silicon Honda (Ijaz) told me this.

About the cost, I think it depends on the city as they charged me 1200/- only.

Right, but where do I get this done post the purchase? Is it at the dealership or through the ASC? Can you confirm this pls? I was told that, post purchase, its the ASC that gets it done. But the showroom guys used words like "special consideration" or equivalent. Some clarity is appreciated on this as well. Tks.

had called up my contact @ the dealer regarding EW yesterday ...he said its nothing bro..takes less than 5 mins to do.just pay the money and claim ur EW and said dont worry, i'll keep it ready and u can collect it anytime...
i called him few hrs back informing him that i got my filter and took the chance to ask who does it?SVC or dealer??

he said the woman who handed u over ur bike papers, manual, registration card/certificate etc etc will do it for you...

so i guess its done by the dealer!

Yes! I was told the same when I bought my Dazzler. I did not opt for it as it was a bit complicated with too many terms and conditions.
