Hey after 6 days of booking i visited my dealer... and he told me that bike will be available in 15 to 20 days... he gave me wait time of 2 months and it's arriving in 1 month time... i'm really happy...
During this visit i talked with personal there they told me it's take almost one day for servicing... and they take it in priority. but it take full one day for servicing...
and second thing they told me before delivering the bike Honda specialist come and check the bike and take a test ride around 30 km and then they deliver it... it is right????
In curiosity i ask him about spare parts and he said all spear parts are available in advance and there is no problem here...

Looks like too much of cancellationsOriginally posted by POS View Posthe gave me wait time of 2 months and it's arriving in 1 month time... i'm really happy...
Yep; to check the valve clearance, it takes one whole day, morning to evening. It takes a whole 3-4 hours to cool the engine (unless its A/C workshop) & then they open the fairings, then the cylinder head & then check the clearance. Depending upon the conformation, they change the SHIMs for clearance & then put back things. So it takes one whole day. Oh!!! Do not forget to remind them that they should be using DIGITAL vernier calipers for checking & Torque wrench to tighten the cylinder head.Originally posted by POS View PostDuring this visit i talked with personal there they told me it's take almost one day for servicing... and they take it in priority. but it take full one day for servicing...
Was not done for me; but if they're doing it for you it is very good.Originally posted by POS View Postbefore delivering the bike Honda specialist come and check the bike and take a test ride around 30 km and then they deliver it... it is right????

PS - POS, not sure if you were told before, pls stop quoting the entire set of pics to reply just one line. It becomes extremely difficult for us to read when we've slow internet lines. Hope you take the comment positively

Finally moving myself into ownership section. Got the bike today afternoon and did some 60+kms.
I forgot to ask about the Ext Warranty with the dealer and they also did not bother to let me know. They do not know freaking any clue about the bike. I do not know what they are going to do in servicing.

How does this extended warranty work ? I am moving my bike to Chennai for its first service, Is it possible for me to buy warranty there ? Or can I only buy from Erode ? Even I bought here, Will it work everywhere else ? Like the Initial service coupons ?2011 - CBR 250R (RED, Delivered) - Happy Man! - SOLD

Lol!!! Good friend of mine is getting it serviced at Didar, T.Nagar. I can take you to JSP where I get my service done. Both these places have good review. I'd still suggest Didar T.Ngr as its little early to comment on my ASC.Skill is what keeps you on a Motorcycle

Hello aargee
I think you have done your first service in JSP and it would be nice if you compare the service from your place with DIDAR T NAGAR where your friend is going to get it serviced ! Please let us know who has more knowledge and is a trained technician exclusively for CBR !
And one more thing ... any bad experience in KUN adyar ?

Srivaatsav - You've no faint idea as what's going on with me. Forget it for now. Take it to Didar T.Ngr or JSP AN, but forget Manasarovar & Kun. This is the best I can say for now.
I've been adviced to use 10W-30 engine oil instead of 20W-40 though both of the engine oils are recommended by HMSI.Skill is what keeps you on a Motorcycle

got my CBR serviced yesterday @ 1050 kms! the total cost was Rs 848/=
10w/30 oil = 516
oil filter = 316
mechanic said that shims were ok as there was only 2 point difference! so he just adjusted the tappet setting!
man! after the service the bike is silky smooth and hope it continues to be like that forever!

My baby ready to be taken home
Just got the call that my baby is ready, He told me that he cannot allow me to be there for the PDI, but I insisted I want to check it thoroughly before the delivery. So, he suggested I come there tomorrow when he can allocate some private time
. I am going to Kanchipuram tomorrow to check out my bike. None of my friends are in town, so if any chennaite wants to accompany me I would be grateful and glad. And ya, they are planning a "small" launch function only after which I can take the bike home. Like the wait for cbr to come to the showroom wasn't painful enuf now I have to wait for a stupid launch function
